Holy falling highway, Batman!

A vehicle hit the guardrail on an Alaskan Way Viaduct off-ramp this morning, knocking a 30-foot concrete section 55 feet to the ground below.

That would be the same Alaskan Way Viaduct that Mrs. Gregoire still has no plan to replace even though we've been paying 9 1/2¢ extra gas tax for the last 3 years:

"...If that viaduct falls down and peoples' lives are lost, I'm not going to stand here and say we lost it because we couldn't take the vote to get it done."
Fortunately no lives were lost this time. Must be the magical protective powers of Mrs. Gregoire's gas tax!

1. Just one more example of how Washington has been moving forward under my guidance. I am certain George Bush was seen on the viaduct prior to the incident.

And you just never mind the fact that San Francisco was able to rebuild their Cypress Way viaduct after the 1987 Loma Prietta quake while I and my fellow Democrats haven't done a thing in 7 years.

Now is not the time to talk about raising taxes. There will be plenty of time after the election.

2. We all know that if someone would have been severely injured or killed by this falling concrete, the Queen would have blamed it on George Bush.

4. no worries mate;
concrete section did not hit a Tent City, nor a Native burial ground, nor a trial lawyer (thank God!), nor a homeless drunk (thank God even more!), nor an illegal alien in this "sanctuary city," (thank God triple times!!) nor an Acorn voter registration desk, nor a random tourist from IA, nor a local politicians's car---

it hit a solid stainless steel $600k public porta-potty; damn--those City Council members were brilliant!

5. Good Point Stefan--
Hey folks, have you noticed the vast improvement in Seattle traffic since the Massive Gas Tax increase?
Actually, the traffic is a teeny-bit better....
BUT THAT'S ATTRIBUTABLE TO THE OVER 6% UNEMPLOYMENT!!
Gregoire is typical of the LEFTIST PINHEADED KLOWN candidates. They take soooo much joy in the fight to get elected....then once elected, haven't a f***ing clue what to do other than SQUANDER & Tax.

I'll bet the Gregoire crowd....which is in love with meetings & study's, will spend $1 million easy TALKING about this problem. Gregoire is the consultants DREAM Candidate. Gregoire consistently mistakes MOTION for ACTION.
There it is.

6. You know, Mr. Cynical, here's a plan that Gregoire can have for free - I won't charge! And it won't cost the State a DIME, and WILL reduce rush hour traffic by 12%.

Simply move the State work hours to be 11 AM to 7 PM. Change the commuting hours of every State employee. Don't even force them on to buses, or trains - just make them commute at times after the taxpayer commutes.

Instant gridlock relief, and it won't cost a single penny...
