$$ in the Gov Race

I have a post up at The Next Right running through the state of affairs with our gubernatorial contest, including a look at fundraising since July 29th that will surprise some people.

Read the whole thing.

1. Good work as usual, Eric. Evergreen Progress and the Gregoire campaign chose to spend a ton of money early, now they are being outspent down the stretch. Evergreen Progress spent $2 million during the Summer. Remember the "Don't Know Dino" ads? The Rossi campaign, Change PAC and the RGA chose to wait and it is paying off.

2. Rossi always had the winning hand and didn't need to advertise. I am sure Gregoire's internal polls showed she needed to advertise. It was a strategic decision (I hope).

But, she was always one to throw gasoline on fires instead of foam. Same for Obama. If he starts spending on the federal government the way he burns money in the campaign, help us all. I'll just quit and collect my paycheck from the master.

4. Rossi must continue to pound home the theme that Gregoire overspent in the face of a recession....that she even acknowledged...and did it anyway.
He must also POUND home that Gregoire as a 39-year government bureaucrat is the PROBLEM, not the SOLUTION.
Gregoire is beholding to the Unions and will raise taxes before making necessary cuts.
She should have done lay-off 6-12 months ago.
Instead she hired.

This is easy stuff...........
Rossi needs to close the deal..NOW!!!
Spend all the money....NOW!!!
People have their ballots.
Last Election, Rossi played a masterful game of rope-a-dope but waited about 2 days too long to launch.
