Joel Connelly reports that the US Chamber of Commerce and the NFIB are about to weigh in on the race between Dave Reichert and Darcy Burner. In a stunning turn of events, they're not backing the candidate (Darcy Burner, D-Netroots) who refuses to take a clear stand on the three trade deals pending before Congress.
Not that voters in the most trade dependent state in the nation should care about expanded trade with Colombia, Panama, and South Korea.
Connelly says we should "anticipate ads that will smear Burner as a tax raiser." Is Connelly saying a Congresswoman Burner wouldn't be a vote for Democratic plans in Congress to raise taxes?
Exit point:
Connelly asks, "A more basic question can be asked: After the Wall Street meltdown -- caused by deregulation measures that it supported -- what business does the U.S. Chamber of Commerce have telling us how to vote?"
Probably more business than the Members of Congress responsible for the bloating of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have seeking re-election. While doing so, they are now quick to blame everyone but themselves for the mess that infected the whole of the US financial system.
Courage.

If he had gons he would switch parties.
Posted by: SeattleJew on October 5, 2008 10:08 PMLike most leftists, he's a rank, lying, hypocrite. He wouldn't apply the same standard to HIS side of the political equation to save his life. And his shilling for Burnoiut is a case in point.
What business is it of his what the Chamber does? Is he showing this same level of faux outrage at say, Barney Frank?
Of course not. And that's what ties him with Johnny Balser as scumbag in chief.
Our local leftists have shown themselves incapable of understanding the Constitution of the United States.
Our local morons post that because THEY feel like it, pharmacies MUST carry a drug THEY want.
Now, that fat bastard sits there and cherry picks and issue... and then revokes the First Amendment, because HE doesn't like the message.
Screw you and the horse you rode in on, Joel.

Posted by: SeattleJew on October 5, 2008 11:51 PMThe NFIB and Chamber of Commerces are two dinosaur organizations that have more say than they deserve, IMO.
I prefer doers, like the BIAW.

"radical republican..."
Your post shows that you know nothing about what Reichart has done in the House already. You have not read anything about his record and are simply commenting on the fact he is a republican.
You are a hate-filled, uneducated, narrow-minded racist lemming. If the rest of Darcy's nutroot friends are anything like you, Dave is in good shape.
Ya know, I bet you don't even live in the district. Let me add irrelevant to the litany.
