News I'm Conflicted About

Barack Obama and Joe Biden are holding a rally this evening in the heart of the beautiful campus of my alma mater, which I love dearly.

On a broader level it speaks to some of the uniqueness of this election year: the Democratic ticket is campaigning in exurban Virginia well after Labor Day. Next thing you know Michigan and Pennsylvania will be in play too...

Oh.

1. Don't carry any signs or banners (dunno about tats).

2. While watching the debate last night my wife asked if there was any person (other than Hillary) I would like to see as POTUS. After a bit of thought I kept coming up with John Roberts (of SCOTUS fame). I'm just not confident in either of these two. Oh well...too bad. This dragged-out campaign can't end soon enough for me. :)

3. Well unfortunately, that is a question we won't have to worry about. If Obama get is there will be no country left in four years. Or at least one where hard work will produce anything for you that you can keep.

4. Just wondering gs if you mean there won't be much of what is left of the country in four years. Like Bush left things in good shape. And the result of that isn't even all in yet.

5. I will only say, wait and see.

Obama will be an absolute disaster of taxing and spending, not what this country needs right now!

Hang on to your pocketbook!

6. John Roberts would be a very good nominee for President, better than who we have. McCain is erratic at times, but he has a heart for reforming things in DC - not always good discernment in certain areas, but he was right about the war that we shouldn't have been in. He may also be spot on about the Bail Out by urging that the House Republicans become involved, so there can be a bill that will be more than a band aid, with 1/2 the cost of the original bill.

Someone asked me today if I thought that Sen. Clinton would run for President again and my response was only if Obama loses. I don't believe the internet rumors that Biden will bow out after the VP debates and be replaced by Sen. Clinton.

7. At this point I would gladly take Hillary over Obama, he is an absolute empty suit left wing socialist, and I have no more dollars to give either of them.

Enough is enough, especially at this critical time in our history. Lear to live on what massive amount you are now taking...Ot better yet cut it the F back!

8. GS
It's clear you inhabit a reality disfunction. Under GW Bush, and his incompetent cronies, and the first 6 years of our GOP controlled congress, government spending INCREASED a greater amount than any time in history. Bush and the GOP turned a large surplus into a 400 bil/year deficit.

It is Obama who will give the vast majority of us a bigger tax cut, NOT McCain. Unless of course you make over $250k per year. Do you? Somehow, I doubt it.

9. When I hear Obama and you parroting that his tax plan will not add one dime to tax payers who make under $250,000 I just have to ask?

If you sell a $100 savings bond held to muturity, and you make 60k a year, will you not pay more tax on this sale due to Obama's Capital Gains tax increase?

If the Democrats roll back the Bush tax cuts, and you make the same 60k a year, are you telling me you will not pay higer taxes as a result?

If you tax people who make over $250,000 (who own or run a business no doubt) do you think they will not just raise the prices of the goods you buy from them?
