Another Cool Olympic Feat: Redemption

And no, I don't mean the USA Men's Basketball Team "redeeming" their rancid performances of recent years. I mean Kobe Bryant rehabilitating his own image.

From his authentic pride of country, to the enthusiasm of he and his teammates for the accomplishment of other US Olympians, to simply being a team player at his own sport: Kobe emerges from these Games a new man.

A real feat, especially given declining national interest in the NBA.

1. Thankfully, there is no baton relay in men's basketball.

Kudos to Kobe, Kerri and Misty for not letting the anti-American NBC network bully them into dissing their country, despite the ignorant reporter's efforts to do so.
Chris Collinsworth-less and Bob Costas can both rot at the bottom of the ratings list, I watched most of the Olympics on C-BUT.

2. Yep, Kobe came off looking pretty classy.

Loved the moment when the U.S. beach volleyball women gave the great shoutout to President Bush.

3. I'm glad it was a good game, quality teamwork helped to secure the Gold.

Loved the moment when the U.S. beach volleyball women gave the great shoutout to President Bush.

Was that the part where the President was doing the wave or giving the volleyball team ladies slaps on the ass?
