Rember This in These Warm Days of August

From Mark Blumenthal at pollster.com:

Most Americans are paying far less attention to news about the campaign than most journalists, pundits and readers of this site. If we assume that all Americans are following the campaign as a jury follows a trial, we are in error.

How very true.

That will change soon, but it is an important reminder in understanding what has (and has not) unfolded yet in many voter's eyes...even as we junkies have been watching Presidential politics and the Governor's race closely.

1. Eric my friend, I do believe you made an unimportant spelling error in the title. Bump so you see it. Feel free to delete this post.

2. It is true. It is also funny that these gaffes by each participant are portrayed as deal killers when they are forgotten a couple days later.

Of note, the DalaiBama's failed pre-presidential crowning as citizen of the world will be noted as a deal killer if he loses.

Other than that, I don't see a whole lot. The issue of today is probably not going to be the issue of November.

However, if the DalaiBama continues to show his short temper and thin skin, it will be a deal killer.

3. This story is worth a read. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/columnists/guest_contributors/article4474202.ece

People are getting "green fatigue". Starting with gas prices and probably extending to flourescent bulbs, land use restrictions, and business costs just to throw stuff away.
MoveOn.org has acknoledged they are losing the debate on energy. So Republicans need to go for the jugular on this issue.
