Vote fraud finally prosecuted

A year ago February I mentioned the case of Port Townsend Democrat activist Todd McGuire, who was suspected of forging his wife's signature on an absentee ballot envelope, in addition to casting his own ballot. (these documents tell the story).

Today's Peninsula Daily News reports that McGuire now faces felony charges for illegal voting.

1. Good! Throw the book at this little puke.

Good men and women died protecting the rights this little snidly coward stole from citizens.

Too bad that King County doesn't have the respect for the law like Jefferson County has.

Sound Politics showed proof that hundreds did this in the 2004 election, and nobody in the King County Prosecutor's office cared.

2. They're not very sophisticated out there in the counties, are they. After delaying only 17 months, the naive amateur law officials committed the faux pas of bringing charges - publicly! For only one extra vote! What were they thinking?

We sophisticate urbanites in King County are light years ahead of Jefferson and Clallam Counties in sweeping evidence of crooked voting under the rug. Thus do we maintain the correct party in monolithic control, the way God intended.

3. I love the line "A prominent County Democrat"

Between Acorn's slimy voter registration getting uncovered, and these Prominent County Democrats I'm beginning to understand why Democrats get elected in this state.

4. Everyone "knows" that dems don't cheat on elections and voting, only the reps do. And if a dem happens to win an election, it's only because the reps didn't cheat well enough.

Oh, and McGuire is the victim of republican dirty tricks.

/sarcasm

5. To a Democrat, fairness in elections means getting every single name on every tombstone in the cemetery--no matter how obliterated by time and weather that name may be, because "Everyone has the right to vote. It would be unfair to leave anyone out."

7. McGuire is a typical PT follower of Karl Marx who believes that the end justifies any means. Everyone must follow the ever-growing list of rules...except him of course. We need more & more rules, regulations & bureaucrats...except they should turn a blind-eye to his conduct.

17 months seems like a mighty long time for this to flounder around. One might suspect the Prosecutor was hoping it would evaporate. Many citizens were made aware of this by Stefan's original post and followed up diligently, as did the local newspapers.

Thanks Stefan

8. And where is the prosecution for the counted "Fatal Pends" during the third count (2nd recount) in 2004?

I await justice. I am patient. I will NOT forget!

10. All Facts--
So you are attempting to rationalize an "upstanding" Progressive illegally voting by saying someone else has allegedly done something worse? Go hire a lawyer and pursue your case. Appears this one is pretty cut & dried.

The guy you are defending is being prosecuted because his wife (also a Dem activist) ratted him out and a DEMOCRAT-controlled Canvassing Board unanimously voted to send it to the Prosecutor.

Hey AllFacts, the guy you are trying to defend is in this position because of Democrats! You should be praising them...not a perpetrator who seems to have disenfranchised all of us with an illegal vote.

If you don't think he should be prosecuted...blame the Democrats!

11. All: Please ignore #10, it is a complete DemBot socialist. While the Dembot thinks Republicans are the enemy it's happy with the 129 votes that miraculously appeared during the last gov election. There it is, Tyrany, staring #10 right in the face but #10 won't see this because it is a Dembot, and is programmed to do exactly what the lefty blogs, lefty news and lefty friends tell him. If Republicans are smart they will have hoards of lawyers and observers in every county and election office to prevent fraud. Make provisional ballots look different from regular ballots, and go after Dembot hacks that violate our rights like Dembot #10.

12. Why weren't the ACORN higher ups prosecuted for the 1100+ illegal voter registrations that were delivered??
They simply blamed the little guys they were compensated for # of new Voter Regs with absolutely no oversight.

13. "And while we are prosecuting "democrat dude" we will be sent the millions of missing emails between the Justice Department, and the White House, hilighting the politicization of the Justice Department right?"

I thought you said you had some facts. We're still waiting? Please site for the us the law that was broken when the president fired your cause celeb, McCay?

You are a good propagandist such that you'd make even Goebbels blush with your tactic. All the US Attorney's serve at the pleasure of the commander in chief. Your liberals certainly never uttered a peep when William Jefferson Clinton fired ALL 93 Us Attorneys - talk about "the politicization of the Justice Department". Sheesh.

Secret Government = Best Government

That has always been the Democrat motto as they have gone to court to ensure the inner workings of the Washington State government cannot be made totally public. And the rubber stamp liberal supreme court went right along too, slamming the door to public disclosure.

Anyone with half a brain understands we must do all we can to remove the stain of the Republiconvict Party from all forms of government.

Half a brain certainly describes you. Too bad you aren't using it.

There is nothing anyone can do to achieve these ends as bad as Jeb Bush purging tens of thousands of legitimate voters from the rolls in Florida before the 2000 election.

Do we live in Washington State or Florida? Talk about projection!

You want to complain about 1 voter, but when the caging lists issue comes up, thousands of legitimate voters....... silence.

No actually there were complaints of hundreds of illegal votes cast. What we want to do is point out that only one of them was finally prosecuted out of hundreds of illegal ones.

But then when the Democrat vote fraud groups such as ACORN get prosecuted in what has been described even in the liberal press as the "state's biggest case of voter-registration fraud" all we here from liberals is ... silence.

HYPOCRITES!

You want Democracy and fair elections as much as Saddam did. You'll use his same tactics to ensure your outcome as well.

14. 13. Wrong. Prosecute him. Prosecute Jeb Bush.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

LOL, get over it fool. You lost in that state know matter how many times you tried to change the way you counted the votes. Even your state supremes knew their last vote would bring the Fed S/S on top of them.

Typical Libs, change the rules unitl it fits me.

"fact's" You have none.

16. That's why you should have to go to the polls on election day and show your picture id. I know that's too much to ask to make sure the voter is the one registered.

17. Stefan's right.
This thread is about the actions of 1 LEFTIST PINHEADED progressive KLOWN. Mr. McGuire deserves his day in Court. Hard to imagine what his defense is though.
Try this--
Someone came into their home and stole only Mrs. McGuire's ballot....then craftily signed her ballot using Mr. McGuire's handwriting. Then, just coincidently dropped off the forged ballot the very same day Mr. McGuire did.

Kind of sucks to be Mr. McGuire.
And it really sucks to be County Commissioner David Sullivan as Todd McGuire was his Campaign Treasurer in 2004...signing all Sullivan's PDC Reports under Penalty of Perjury.

18. Jefferson County Auditor Donna Eldridge (R) runs a squeaky clean department. I can't say as much for the rest of Jefferson County government, which is dominated by Port Townsend Communists.
