Summer storms and other issues

A massive summer storm is rolling over me as I write. God how I love the sound of thunder as it echoes across the Cascade foothills while lightning plays against the outline of nearby Mount Si.

Unfortunately, this also means that power is flickering and could be out any second now.

First off. We only have a couple more hours to go until readers at Sound Politics are spared another crappy "Clown of the Day" article. We're going to have to take this one day at a time folks and hopefully the message will be sent.

If any more CoD's are posted I'll try to do my best to put some sort of posts on any topic to knock the stories down. The last thing any of us want to see when they pull up SP is a big photo of Bozo staring back at them. Talk about creepy. And embarrassing.

Second. Sorry for not posting on a more regular basis. Have had all of my spare time filled with a rather large and important writing assignment which will become evident in two weeks.

Third. I'm currently slapping together my phone interview with Dino Rossi and his take on the Sonics court decision. With luck it will be done by tomorrow morning. I have perfect faith in the ability of Puget Sound Energy to keep power on during thi

1. Haha...funny, Don.

You're lucky...there's no lightning down here, and I missed it when we had it the other night. :(

2. Yeah, you are funny, Don...particularly the part about Puget Sound Energy. They are the real clowns.

3. Nice Don. (-:

I have a view of the sound from my place and the lighting it hitting the water.

WOW Elect-fish?

PS-----> Bring in the clowns!

4. NO CLOWNS!!!! WHaaaaaaaaa, whaaa, whaaa. Sniff, sniff, dribble, slurp. Okay, all better now. : )

5. Don, I appreciate that you believe yourself to be all that. But if you insist on attacking others merely because you don't happen to like their method of presentation, then you, too, could join the ranks of the ignored.

I have no idea who's behind the CoD posts. More importantly to me, I don't really give a damn.

These posts are, in fact, much like TV shows: No one forces you to watch a program you don't like; no one forces you to read the CoD posts.

Get over it... and get over yourself.

As a conservative, I don't need you, or anyone else, to save me from myself. And frankly, your post on the issue is far more embarrassing then anything posted, including the pictures, in the CoD posts.

6. Hinton, CoD could be Stefan going incognito, but notice the CoD reference. With Don's SOH, he could be making fun of himself.

7. Keep the clowns. I like the clowns. I want the clowns. They remind everybody who runs this site. I laugh every time I see them.

It's raining! Blame the Governor! There's a drought! Blame the Governor! The Sonics are leaving! Blame the Governor! Money to save the Sonics? Hell, no, we're facing a revenue shortfall! We're facing a revenue shortfall? Blame the Governor!

We need tax breaks for industry! We won't give tax breaks to industry? Blame the Governor! We give tax breaks to industry. Oh, no, we're facing a revenue shortfall! Blame the Governor!

Keep the clowns. They are the true face of Sound Politics.

8. Speaking of clowns, see the post above me.

9. Oddly enough, ivan, your clownishness (Not to mention your ignorance and stupidity) come through with each and every post you leave here.

In fact, I tend to think of you as the Clown of the Decade. What's the matter? Jealous?

10. Ivan,

Yeah, kind of like everything is George Bush's fault wouldn't you say? ; )

I say keep the clowns. They are the true face of
state and local government.

11. Hinton @ 9:

Awwww! After I said all those nice things about you? Tell you what. Blame the Governor. That'll make you feel like a real man.

13. As a former Midwesterner I miss thunderstorms so last night and this morning were a wonderful experience. I watched the lightening from the storms along the Cascade foothills last night from my deck in Madison Park and felt nostalgic. Same this morning when I woke up to rolling thunder overhead in Seattle.
