You can wish him well in the comments here. Or, even better, you can email him directly.
He has my best wishes for a complete, and rapid, recovery.
(Incidentally, I read his blog regularly and often learn something from it.)
Posted by Jim Miller at May 27, 2008 05:55 AM | Email ThisI was riding home from work in the rain on Tuesday, May 13. I was just east of Microsoft's main campus. Instead of descending in the traffic on Bel-Red Road I went down NE 30 St. which is pretty steep. I was controlling my speed - trying to - when my front wheel went right and I went left. I smashed my pelvis. The femur punched through it.
I went to Evergreen ER, then cabulance to Harborview's trauma center - first-class operation. 5 hours in surgery and 6 days at Harborview.
No weight on my left foot for 6 to 8 weeks. Then therapy and full weight after 10 to 12 weeks. That's 3 months!!
