May 1st, 2008 Immigrant Rights March in Seattle

Seattle had its 9th annual May Day march for immigrant rights Thursday, which of course you already knew if you work downtown and were trying to get home that night. You can see many more photos and my trip report here.

1. If they think this country is so horrible, why are they all desperate to be here??

2. If ICE would just show up to these rallies it would make there job pretty easy.

4. "rights?" created for illegal aliens? did i miss something in the entitlement world? try this in China; or Tibet; or at the southern Mexican border; you'll see "rights;" anyone watching Italy's & France's same issues unfold?

ask those currently & legally in line here; never MSM articles on them;

5. The terrorists all went to Olympia, where the WSP stood down and watched them deface the Capitol.

Even the Olympia PD made arrests in the downtown riot.

6.
Puget Sounders have been counting on "immigrants" to keep housing and real estate prices high, so of course Nickles allows criminals to parade in the streets (see my post about incarceration rates for various races).

Unfortunately (or fortunately for both them and us), that trend is ending as Mexican birth rates fall precipitously.

http://jonjayray.wordpress.com/2007/06/30/mexican-birthrate-falling-rapidly/

"There has been a stunning decline in the fertility rate in Mexico, which means that, in a few years there will not be many teenagers in Mexico looking for work in the United States or anywhere else. If this trend in the fertility rate continues, Mexico will resemble Japan and Italy - rapidly aging populations with too few young workers to support the economy."

7. Unless I missed something all legal immigrants in the US have the same rights as I have. So this isn't really an "immigrants march", its an "illegal alien" march and should be labeled as such.

8. Gee, a few battalions of Guard troops, a few busses, a temporary ICE processing facility, and we could have bagged and got rid of thousands of these scum.

Talk about a missed opportunity!

9. "ICE" filming from the roof tops. The Washington legislators don't want to address the illegal immigration problem. They are even changing the word illegal immigrants to undocumented immigrants thinking the public will accept it.

11. They know that Seattle is an easy mark for getting handout and support, thanks to the perverted epidemic of liberalism, that will corrupt and eventually destroy this country - if allowed to.

They will keep coming as long as they think they can get away with it. The left believes that we can't have boundaries because there are no boundaries in suffering and in creating potential votes for their candidates from illegal aliens.

12. Well the commie Longshoreman's Union has been trying their own protest to support our enemies. However this is in character for the communist longshoremen union which has a long history of undermining the US in times of war. During WWII, Harry Bridges ILWU leader and admirer of Stalin, tried blocking supplies from the us to Britain.

13. "Seattle had it's 9th annual May Day march for immigrant rights Thursday . . . "

The word is "its," not "it's." Sound Politics needs an editor.

14. Nah, we don't need an editor when we have you to keep us on the straight and narrow, ram! I purged that pesky apostrophe for you.

15. I see nothing wrong with gathering-up all illegals and returning them to their country of origin. It it's 12 million people, then so be it. Back in 1961, JFK said we'd put a man on the Moom before the end of the Sixties, and he was correct.

If we set our minds and efforts to the job, we can, over time, round up 12 million illegals and return them to where they came from.

America cannot adopt Mexico, Guatemala, China, or any other nation. It they want prosperous lives, then they should build them in their countries.

16. apply drastically more econ & political pressure on the "exporting countries"--take care of your own; use your state-owned or few-wealthy-families' resources; make them distribute wealth to their own as illlegals & lefties advocate we do here;

drastically cut foreign aid or charge countries for their illegals here; have them stand on their own legs like we did or take back their "human exports"

our new world motto should be "training wheels off, folks--you're now on your own;" sure, we can help with humanitarian things like disasters, but that's all; want freebies? first prove you've exhausted your own options & helped your own people out of their mess; private charities should shoulder the burden, not all taxpayers;

i'm tired of wiping the word's sniffles; other countries' elected officials are dumping their problems here;
