Read it and weep. This is the latest proposal headed for ballot initiative in the fall. Who would've thought the Washington Democrats could make Oregon look good in comparison?

Posted by: BA on April 1, 2008 09:54 AMThey can tax more than 100%, here's how: they will just change the name of the illusory capital gains that they guess you have on your house as "current income", even though it is not realized through a sale.
After all it's not much of a stretch, we get property taxed on an "assessment" (nothing more than a guess by political hacks what your house may be worth if you were to sell it) even though there may not be any change to your property otherwise other than degradation from weather, time, deer, mold and carpenter ants.
A tax on illusion - novel concept huh? We could tax Hollywood for trillions based on the concept.
Posted by: Deryl McCarty on April 1, 2008 12:23 PMDon't be deceived: The libs are out for every cent they can tax, fine, or impose a fee on.
The correct spelling is Komrad with a K.

Northshore administrators enjoy perks
They make on average $103,000 per year, and the Times is reporting that
"Administrators in the Northshore School District have bought big-screen TVs, camcorders, home-theater equipment and iPods for personal use, all with taxpayer money. What's more, if the employees leave the district, they get to keep the equipment."
Remember that when you are voting for their School Levies next time!
No wonder this state has no money for teachers!
