The Seattle Post-Intelligencer website has a breaking news story from the Associated Press: "NY governor linked to prostitution ring"
The New York Times is reporting that Gov. Eliot Spitzer has told senior advisers that he had been involved in a prostitution ring.Hmm. I wonder which party Gov. Spitzer belongs to. It isn't until the 8th paragraph that the article alludes to either of the major parties:
... a plot by his aides to smear Spitzer's main Republican nemesis...Is that an interparty or intraparty nemesis? Not entirely clear. But because the article does not contain the word "Democrat", the only logical conclusion is that Spitzer is in fact a Democrat.
UPDATE (2:53pm): the initial version of the above-linked article has been replaced with a substantially rewritten article that does identify Spitzer as a Democrat.
