Programming Note

I suspect, though cannot guarantee, the Presidential news will subside a bit on this blog as the race itself begins to fade in prominence - at least on the Republican side. Once the chaos of our own state's caucuses are behind us, I'll be chiming in on a few issues brewing in the Legislature. Expect posts on Sunday or Monday on those subjects.

Happy caucusing.

1. That will be welcome Eric as coverage seems to be lacking in the local media coverage. I used to enjoy listening when KVI's John Carlson covered it in depth on his show, but since teaming up with Schramm, he doesn't seem to focus on that any more. A bit of a void I believe.

2. Thank goodness. Carbon emissions passed out of the Ecology committee with all Ds in favor and Rs against.

There are also a bevy of new regulations of every tom, dick, harry and sue enterprise that is floating through the process.

Many of those don't have costs associated with them and they are passing committees. I don't know how bills can go out of committee without the electeds having a clue as to their projected costs. That is different from real costs.

3. From your mouth to God's ear! I shall be absolutely ecstatic when Sound Politics gets back to Sound politics and quits cluttering up its space with hyper-gossip available in vastly excessive quantities absolutely everywhere else.
