No, not Obama or Huckabee, although they are the big winners in Iowa tonight. I'm referring to Stefan, who recently won two contests of interest to SoundPolitics readers. Since he is still on hiatus from the blog, I thought I would let SP readers know that he won a "Sammie" award from the Sam Adams Alliance -- Stefan won the first annual Sunshine award for his investigative work using the Washington Public Records Act.
Closer to home, he also won David Postman's election prediction contest in a 3-way tie with Richard Davis and "the Piper", who comments on this blog. Congratulations Stefan!
Please extend my congratulation to Stefan. I hope he is getting lots of R&R and returns very soon. While Eric and the others are doing their best, neither comes close to Stefan and his sharp wit and intellect. While other authors are content to write milquetoast topics in regards to liberal corruption and in some case even cosey up to contumelious liberal columnists, Stefan slays the corrupt liberal beast with factual, hard hitting investigative journalism.
While his efforts to expose the KCE corruption may put him on the other side of the fence with the local cow tow liberal media and forever sink any chance at a goldsteinesque segue into a media career (as some here seem to be apparently persuing in Stefan's absence), Stefan has always put integrity and persuit of the truth ahead of personal gain. And for that I salute him and you as well for supporting him in this blog.
Come back soon Stefan. We need you.

The Piper
Posted by: Piper Scott on January 3, 2008 11:11 PMAs the findings of King County malfeasance were posted on this blog in irrefutable photographic form, it is an everlasting disgrace to our "mainstream" newspapers (that's you, Seattle Times and Seattle Post-Intelligencer) that they buried their heads in the sand and refused to turn on one watt of investigatory power to help illuminate the serious corruption of the Elections Department.
But then, their gang is in power and they like it that way.
