Seattle Media Hearts Obama

Directly and indirectly, Joni Balter and to a lesser degree Joel Connelly give Obama his props. If I was a Democrat I'd be of the same general mind in that race, which Obama is increasingly winning.

P.S. The Stranger digs the Audacity of Hope too.

UPDATE: And here's the Stranger's more recent Obama coverage, complete with insights from Eli Sanders on the ground in Iowa covering Oprah-fest.

1.
Someone on the Dumb-O-Crat side needs to talk about the Audacity of Intelligence...as in, using it once in a while.

Example: Clinton, Obama and Edwards and almost all Democrats speak as if the Federal Government were still the primary driver of domestic policy. They criticize Bush for "not doing things".

Unfortunately, these Senators, Governors, Representatives, Mayors and other local yokels should be "pointing the canon at themselves". The Federal Government is no longer responsible for health care, education, social issues, roads and so on -- the states are. And having a John Edwards going around complaining is ridiculous. If he wants change he should stay in his state and do something.

Same for Nickles, Sims, and Gregoire. If there is no money its because of bad state management -- it has zip to do with Bush!

2. I thought there was no money because the GOP squandered it all buying things we could not afford when they had free reign in Congress. I mean why not start two wars and fund numerous pet projects while giving everyone a $200 advance on their tax refund? Once your done spending all that money, you cut your profits!!

Does the phrase 'you need to spend money to make money' apply to the Govt. too?

3. There's the error of your thinking Cato.

The government does NOT, in any way shape or form, MAKE money. It TAKES money.

Big difference, kiddo.

4. Rangar, it does TAKE money and then returns it to you in the form of services. Look at Army M/V, he's an employee of the Govt. Don't you want him to travel on the roads you paid for that lead up to your private property and save your life if you have a heart attack? Would you feel better if private companies maintained those roads by charging tolls to get to your house?

Still you must admit any supply sider with half-a-brain would agree that spending money you don't have on wars to "win the hearts and minds" of foreign countries is a bad idea.

5. Ok this is funny!

6. O-brother CATO.

It's called a UNION and for us fire fighters in this state we have NO choice!

Use your brain before engaging your mouth!

7. You have a choice, you could change professions. Or maybe you could cite those conservative values of yours and opt-out and sue the state for forcing you to join an organization you don't agree with (seems to work for the Pharmacists). I'm sure Tim Eyman and Dino Rossi will back you up.

8. But Obama does not have a blimp.
Ron Paul does, and now he has air superiority (along with idea superiority). Unfortunately it took segregationist Governor Wallace to reveal the truth that "there's not a dime's worth of difference between" Republicans and Democrats. The Democrats willingly went along with the War in Iraq, suspension of Habeas Corpus, detaining protesters, banning books like "America Deceived' from Amazon, stealing private lands (Kelo decision), warrant-less wiretapping and refusing to investigate 9/11 properly. They are both guilty of treason.
Support Dr. Ron Paul and save this great nation.
Last link (before Google Books bends to gov't Will and drops the title):

9. Ron Paul Spam!

Posted by: Cato on December 11, 2007 01:56 PM
10. Ron Paul lives in a foreign policy world of the 1700's where oceans generally protected the USA from foreign intervention. Dah, pal, ever heard of missiles, incoming freight containers? FOOL...

The actual critical thinking adults in the Democratic Party are soiling their shorts as they realize......
-Hillary's negatives are increasing and the GOP hasnt even gotten started. The more most know about her, the worse off she is. Gone after a trifecta of primary defeats. Oh darn....
-Obama is too white for blacks and too Muslim for whites and too inexperienced for most anybody's taste. A press wet dream
-Edwards is a pretty boy ambulance chasing phoney
-Gore is an eccentric oddball peddling doom, gloom, standard of living confiscation and global warming snake oil

The Dems have no one, other than the brain dead media........panic and reality are setting in...

11. If Allen B bothered to do some research before upchucking his Ron Paul paranoia he'd see that the book, "America Deceived" is readily available on Amazon. Why should anyone take anything else he says seriously?

12. If you bother to read the Author Bio you know it's written by a nut....

"E.A. Blayre III lives in a fortified bunker, whereabouts unknown, heavily armed, waiting for the next revolution."

I doubt the book is actually endorsed by Ron Paul, but the author seems to have taken it upon himself to Spam everyone about how he's endorsed Ron Paul.

Internet is full of kooks trying to make a quick buck.

13. "Internet is full of kooks trying to make a quick buck."

The internet also seems to be full of kooks that support Ron Paul.

14. Hank, the Rs had been keeping their powder dry regarding Clinton. Now, some have been loading their muskets and preparing to fire. Unfortunately, I think it is too early. She will win the nomination, so we should still keep the power dry till the real battle happens.

I wish the Rs had the same self-control with Clinton as the Democrats (gasp, gasp self-control and Democrat together) regarding Huck.
