Larry Gossett's friend James Ujaama pleads guilty to terror charges

Seattle Times: "Ujaama admits to terror charges"

James Ujaama, the Seattle man who pleaded guilty in 2003 to aiding the Taliban, admitted to a federal judge in New York on Monday that he fled to Belize last year to avoid testifying against his alleged co-conspirators.
He also pleaded guilty to three terrorism-related charges, including conspiracy to establish a jihad-training camp in Oregon.

Silly me. I thought Ujaama was a misunderstood community activist! Robert L. Jamieson Jr, July 18, 2002: "Real case against Ujaama yet to be made".

Ron Sims, July 20, 2002:

"They've been busy for a long time -- visiting elected officials, trying to raise money for the Central Area Youth Association, being proponents of the need to improve employment conditions," said King County Executive Ron Sims. "Terrorists? I don't think so.
Larry Gossett, October 1, 2002:
"...I genuinely believe James would not be a threat to leave the region or be a harm to his fellow U.S. citizens."
Oops.

5. Don't worry, the 3 Stooges will come up with some line about how this is just a fabrication by the evil Bush regime. Even if this clown blew up their houses they would still find a way to blame it on anything but the fact the guy hates America and wants to destroy our way of life. Too bad we can send Sims and company to Cuba or North Korea (without their bank accounts--the dictators don't like it when you show up broke).

7. Sorry to call it like it is, but both have to stand up for their interests? Let the record stand for itself both will go out on a limb to protect their interests, and make the same inept decisions that they do at the county every day. I worked there. Both are so caught up in thier own special interest nothing else matter.
