Democracy held hostage: Day 36
The Elections Office still hasn't responded to the request for a progress update on I-24 and I-25 signature verification that I e-mailed last Thursday. (I was asking for some very basic information that could and should be available and released within a day).
Not to put words in anybody's mouth, but Sherril Huff is acting as if her motto is "I don't care. I don't have to. I'm appointed!"

1. Speaking of democracy ... Who do you (any of you reading this) recommend voting for to DEFEAT Sally Clark for the Seattle Silly Council Position No. 9?
2. Or maybe he's operation on the motto of 'This guy keeps calling/emailing me 15 times a day, why should I give him anything'
I hear patience is a virtue.
3. "Cato": "maybe he's operation on the motto of 'This guy keeps calling/emailing me 15 times a day, why should I give him anything'"
First of all, Cato, Sherril Huff is a she, not a he.
Second, I've e-mailed Elections staff exactly 3 times this month on this issue, August 3, August 9 and yesterday, August 13.
4. Other than this is a "Public Servant Gone Wild" type of thing, why couldn't Huff at least responded to one of the requests?
5. I am sure you know, but they must by law respond to your request within five days. They must tell you when to expect a full response to your request. You will get nothing. If they do not respond within five working days of your request they are violating Washington disclosure law. Armen Yousufian(?) has been pounding the county over this conduct. Pound away Stefan, or stop bitching.
6. Maybe you should call a press conference in front of the King Country elections building dressed up in a Darth Vader suit...oh wait that's been done.
Maybe you should dress up like Dan Savage since you seem to be obsessed with the The Stranger's newsroom/politics/sexual positions.
7. Although I've often given KCE the benefit of the doubt regarding Stefan's criticisms, it doesn't seem reasonable for KCE to take so long to validate petitions, let alone to answer a question about status. Maybe there's a good reason for this behavior, but it's not obvious.
8. There is a good reason for their behavior...
1) They work for Ron Sims
2) They are ass wipes
