P-I: Four elections systems instead of two!

Last year the P-I cheered mail-only elections, repeating the mantra that:

it no longer makes sense for the county to operate essentially two distinct elections systems
It's a dishonest argument. There aren't "two distinct elections systems"-- There's one voter database and one set of ballot styles. And the cost of forcibly converting 400,000 poll voters to mail would exceed the cost savings from closing the polling places.

And it's not even a consistent argument. Even with "all-mail" voting there would be "regional voting centers" with touchscreens, i.e. "two distinct systems" in the words of the mail-only voting enthusiasts.

The P-I contradicts itself completely in Thursday's editorial, encouraging the Electons Office to simultaneously prepare for a mail-only election in 2008 using untested equipment, while preparing to run the 2008 election the traditional way. i.e. preparing four elections systems! Apparently the desire to fill the county's mailboxes with unsolicited ballots outweighs any coherent arguments about accurate and efficient elections administration.

1. Finding logical inconsistencies in P-I editorials is like finding profanity on horsesass

3. One only has to look at the P-I's "business plan" to ascertain the level of intelligence of the organization. The P-I is like a Dilbert cartoon taken to the tenth power.

4. "It means that more people will vote, and will vote Democrat."

Is that why the Democrats fight every attempt to have some form of proof that the voter is an American citizen, registered where they are to vote, and only voting once in each election? Could any Democrat get elected if there was strict voter ID for each American citizen voting. Why are Democrats leaders afraid to allow voter ID. I think everyone knows the answer to that.

7. Gee, ivan, how many comments do you have to posts to prove how stupid you are?

Sidebar: "If ivan posts, does anyone care?"

This is so telling of the dementia of the left, "Citizens of a free republic do not have to prove that they are citizens." Well, duh, that's the point. Illegal immigrants are not citizens of THIS free republic. But then again you don't understand. No surprise there.

ivan, why don't you return to your day job of using duct tape to make a Depends large enough to fit so you can spend your day at your parent's home in front of the computer with no potty breaks.

Oh, you do have a job. It's taking money from working folks and lining your pockets all the while telling them that you're looking out for them. I'm sorry, I forgot. You're doing it for their benefit.

You take, by force, wages from working people so that you can live large and not do squat. Ever worked for a living? Or have you just stolen money from others and claimed that it was for their benefit.

Of course, if you have to do squat, refer to my comment infra.

8. There's a balance between convenience and security that Ivan is unable to understand. Of course if Ivan's bank was to stop requiring ID or basic authentication to protect his account, he'd probably switch to a different bank. But that's the thing with Progressives, it's always OK in principle, until it effects them personally.

This is the same kind of mindless allegiance and trust in the state that leads to murdering rapists like Adhahn.

13. Hello Ivan,

As one of those annoying brown people, after all, wasn't it you who called me a fraud? I can tell you that secular progressive ideology has kept annoying brown people, Black people, and inconvenient low-income people dependent by attacking the very insitutions needed to build stable families and communities. Your motto is keep them dumb, dependent, and dependable. I just came over from another thread where one of your ilk had the audacity to hold-up hip hoppers as role models. Why not Ken Griffey who married the mother of his kids and is raising them or Ken Chennault the CEO of American Express? The answer is secular progessives like you marginalize and use people of color. That last idiot feels entitled to marginalize because he plays hoops a couple of times a week with some folks from the Urban League. I don't know what the equivalent form of marginalization would be for role models put forth for children of his tribe, but had I done it, thinking folks from his Temple would have been all over me for setting the bar too low. Guess what, they would have been right. Guess I don't get a pass because I don't play hoops with them.

Yup, your motto is keep them dumb, dependent, and dependable so we can mine their votes early and often.

An annoying brown person.

14. ivan;

So ivan (the commie) what are you laughing about? The ruin of America? You are an idiot. Your ideas about what a country should be are similar to what all failed ideologies are. You must believe in the infallibility of elected officials, especially the ones you like. If you can't trust the elections, soon you will have anarchy. I know that telling you these things is a waste of energy on my part as you are incapable of changing your philosophy, but maybe someone who is actually open to ideas might see the validity of them. You and your ilk have long been devoid of ideas, but you still won't just shut up and go away. You still have to pretend you have ideas although your only creative at critisizing those who actually do have ideas. Do you have the ability to introspect? Look at where your beliefs come from. They most surely come from stereotype, prejudice and propaganda.

Only an iliterate progressive, liberal, socialist, marxist, communist...take your pick would revel in their ignorance.

Ilk;
-noun 1. family, class, or kind: he and all his ilk.
-adjective 2. same.
--Idiom3. of that ilk, a. (in Scotland) of the same family name or place: Ross of that ilk, i.e., Ross of Ross.
b. of the same class or kind.

Does it make sense to you now?

17. "Citizens of a free republic do not have to prove that they are citizens. Rather the burden of proof is on the government to prove that people are not citizens.

I'd love to see where that statement came from. One thing I can tell for sure. It did not come from the US Constitution.

"Freedom loving Americans won't ever permit that".

That's why they are demanding that the Democrats quit selling out our country to illegal immigrants and that only US citizens that are legally entitled to vote be allowed to vote only once in each election. A concept that apparently is beyond understanding by American leftists.

As for hell-holes, been there, done that, like so many others that post on this blog, and US taxpayers paid for it. 58,249 names of Americans that served and died at the same time, I was involved with Vietnam and military service. What I have wondered every day since, is how many of those who died for America were killed because of Jane Fonda's, Walter Cronkite, John Kerry and hundreds of thousands of other American leftists support for the enemy in Vietnam, and today are doing the same to support the terrorists facing out troops today?

18. We need a hand recount of all the ways for Seattle Leftists to cheat on an election.

The spineless Ripofflicans will bow down and let it all happen again in '08.

The Homocrats cut the nuts off the Republicans in this state long ago, and now march through the streets proudly displaying them.
