Safeguarding the integrity of the voter rolls

The Evergreen Freedom Foundation recorded this interview with Jane Balogh, the woman who registered her dog to vote as a protest against lax voter registration procedures1

1 Those would be the same lax voter registration procedures that enabled illegal immigrant / convicted sex offender Terapon Dang Adhahn to register to vote.

1. This post is about as dumb as the one where to tried to tie the death of the UW Grad Student to safe haven laws.

Jumping the Shark a little early today aren't we Stefan?

2. Jane! Jane! Don't give the election thieves MORE ideas!

3. The King County Moron: "You can't do that."

Jane: "You can if you're a dog"

OMG! That's hysterical!

4. "Those would be the same lax voter registration procedures that enabled illegal immigrant / convicted sex offender Terapon Dang Adhahn to register to vote."

This guy is scum but isn't an illegal immigrant. He is a immigrant who was here legally, who due to his convictions may be told to leave.

5. Bill 4728:
Oh, you mean the same guy who was convicted in 1990, and at that time reclassified as "illegal" and subject to deportation, but after 17 years was still here to murder a child? Is that the guy you're talking about? By the way, the news today advises us they suspect him of many, many more murders. Maybe we ought to let him stick around a little longer, maybe try to rehabilitate him? Goldy poses the question "how many more people have to die because of conservative ideology? How many more innocent children have to die because of progressive, liberal, leftist moonbat legislation that allows a predator to stay and condemns Zina Linnik and her family not to the American Dream, but the American Nightmare?

6. Who's turning felons like this loose by the bucket load in this state?

Why it's Gregorie and her gang, who think they should all have the right to vote.

Well I don't think sex offenders and felons have any rights to vote until all of their restitutions have been completed.

7. they really downplay the illegal alien status of this guy.

8. #1 - Defending the indefensible. This video is instructive in pointing out the incompetence and flaws, pointed out in 2005 that continue to be ignored. King County elections remains transparently left and corrupt to the core. The Democrat thugs that control elections in this state are not going to change their ways, unless they are prosecuted for this - thank you so much for your neglgiance, John McKay.

Bring in the illegal aliens registered by ACORN and throw out the military votes, by dumping those ballots into Puget Sound. This is unbelievable !

9. Washington State of worse than UKRAINE! We do not have Democracy here, we have tryanny orchestrated by the liberal Democrat Party.

Voters have ZERO confidence in the "system". Time for revolution.

10. Is the King County [rigged-] Elections Board *sure* they want this publicized in court and entered in the court record?

Talk about airing your dirty, shitstained, laundry!

11. Can someone clarify? I've seen no mention by a government official of Adhahn being an illegal alien. I've heard he was a Green Card holder. He was subject to being deported, but that never happened, so he remained legal, as best I can tell. Any information showing him to be illegal would be welcome.

And what I really also want to know is WHEN he got his Green Card. Was it before or after his conviction?

12. Who cares if this guy was registered to vote....!
The real issue is why was he in the USA...

As a country, we need to start EXPORTING those legal visitors who commit crimes while in the USA back to their home countries. Additionally, we need to deport those who commit crimes while here illegally. I'd start by checking the legal status of every inmate and after they have served their sentences, ship them off...

14. Rightstuff

Why wait till they serve their sentences. why should us taxpayers pay for their incarceration. Ship em home the minute they are convicted, and their sentence should be Deportation. Period.

Why waste our tax dollars on vermin. Spend it on proctecting the law abiding citizens of this state and country.

15. Conflating the killer of a 12 year old girl with a voter registration issue is a new low even for Stefan. I could point out that Ted Bundy was not only registered to vote but also a Republican Party employee but I am not saying Republicans are serial killers or anything like that. Let's keep our attention where it should be: on the family of the victim and seeing to it that her killer gets what is coming to him.

Stefan has cheapened the debate on the issue of voter registration that he cares so much about with this latest conflation. Frankly, he has no credibility left after this one.

Doesn't anyone on the left read "satire" anymore. Jeez Goldy doles it out daily, and no one bitches about it.

Amazing, really amazing.

18. @14 I only comment that they should be deported after serving their sentence so that they pay their debt to our society. Deporting them immediately just gives them a "get our of jail" free card when they come here.

19. Aren't you missing the point that she got caught? Doesn't that prove anything? I don't know...maybe they work.

Posted by: David on July 15, 2007 04:25 AM
20. Looks like he was in the US Military at one point (likely how he became a citizen in the first place)...you guys would certainly throw a huge fuss if they were trying to discredit a US veteran and deport him/her to their country of origin.

Now that he's killed a little girl I don't expect any fuss from the GOP. Can't blame this one on the Democrats as it's a GOP idea to award citizenship to US Veterans (even if they do turn out to be pedophiles).

21. The Washington Legislation made a grave mistake in passing legislation that in effect eliminated the requirement that persons registering to vote provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. However, this can be corrected. I know that Sam Reed lobbied against this legislation at the time. He was right.

It is disturbing to me that no proof of U. S. citizenship is required when registering to vote. As you know, that was not always the case. The Washington State legislation that passed substituting verifiable proof of citizenship and allowing utility bills and other identification is ludicrous. Checking the yes/no box on the registration form only says that you can read the question. This honor system does not work nor is it good enough. What this current voter registration system does is open the door to voter fraud.

The Washington State Legislature needs to repeal this current legislation and return us to the old voter registration system requiring potential voter registrants to provide proof of citizenship in the form of a birth certificate or naturalization documents.

23. Tacoma/Jimmy/US: again, Ted Bundy was a citizen. Please stop being illogical, KTHX.

You obviously do not value the citizen's right to vote; that's sad for you, but I hope that because of your lack of respect for your own vote, you therefore don't vote. That would make me feel better.

David: she only got caught because she TRIED to get caught! And it still took them TWO elections to catch her ... and then when they did, they sent her ANOTHER ballot! She could have kept right on voting illegally, WITH THEIR FULL KNOWLEDGE, and they would have done NOTHING if she had not continued to INTEND to get caught.

I think you are missing the point that she would have been able to vote illegally if she wanted to, and there's nothing that anyone would have done about it: she was only caught because she wanted to be caught.

24. Thank you, Pudge. The whole situation of illegality and voting can be tied together. I have read that Adhahn had a green card, therefore was here legally. Rape/incest is a felony...but incest is not a deportable crime unless he committed another felony. A green card holder is NOT a citizen and he again committed a felony by registering to vote knowing he wasn't a citizen...........therefore he committed two felonies and should have been deported in 2006. This would have put him out of the country and Zina would still be alive. This is the way our checks and balances should work. Safeguards in place? Our safeguards have been shredded. Maybe I deserve a fine for registering Duncan to vote...but to be threatened with a felony when I was trying to show how badly flawed our system is, is ludicrous. I'd go to jail for 100 years if the system was fixed and this beautiful child were still alive. If only everyone would speak out, send letters, shout to the rooftops that Americans need to come first in this country. Our politicians are in the pockets of big business, cheap labor, insourcing, outsourcing, giving our manufacturing away and allowing our people to be at risk by dangerous imports. Everything has to be so PC no matter who is hurt. Until each and every one of us stands up to our government, these practices will continue. Where is our democratic republic heading? It is falling into disrepair as have other great societies in history.
