The Seattle Weekly article on I-25 includes Ron Sims's senseless argument for keeping the Elections Director an appointed, not elected, position.
Sims' chief-of-staff Kurt Triplett says:
"An elected auditor could screw up every election for four years, and you wouldn't have an opportunity to make any changes to that ... In the appointed system, the executive can fire and replace that person immediately."Never trust a politician who says what he could do, instead of what he did do.
![]() | Dean Logan became a public laughingstock for 2004, one of the biggest election screws-up in American history. But Sims didn't "fire and replace" Logan immediately. He expressed his full faith and confidence in Logan until he fled the state under public pressure, 20 months, 8 elections and numerous screw-ups later. Triplett has helpfully reminded us how the Executive has exploited the appointed position, retaining a director who failed the straight-face test of public opinion, but served the Executive's own agenda. |
That's why Sims was so happy with Logan and his crew.
and he couldn't admit he was wrong!!!!!!!!!!!

This post says it all. You can't trust those that speak only to each other, and never listen to themselves.
I wonder if Ron Simms and Dean Logan talked about themselves in the third person alot?
You can't make up this stuff.
Liberalism is a mental disorder.
Posted by: MJC on July 12, 2007 09:38 PMHopefully soon we will have Ron's new Party hack following him all the way to California.
I can't imagine anyone stupid enough to accept that job when offered it from Ron Sims.
Amen to that!
Excellent post, Stefan.
