I-25: 2 days left to qualify (or not)

I-25's deadline for turning in petitions is this Wednesday, only 2 days away.

The campaign is closing the funding gap and is within reach of having enough money to obtain the remaining signatures to qualify for the ballot.

I'm pleased to report that Sound Politics readers have really come through to help this campaign. Since June 1, 98 individual donors have donated a total of $9,300 online alone. Much of this was from you, gentle readers who care about fair elections.

Now it's down to the wire. I'm still good for the last $5,000 to cross the finish line. But the only way that I-25 can turn in enough signatures to qualify is if major donors step up and write some 4-figure checks today. If that's you, then please call or e-mail the campaign to arrange with someone to meet you at your convenience and accept your check.

(And online donations will help us get there too!)

1. Way to be the only check and balance we have for the D's in Washington.

I must admit the idea of Thompson saying we're goin to defcon 5 sounds better to me than Giuliani.
Giuliani would have a nasily an almost weasly "were goin to Defcon 5".
Maybe Thompson could be VP so we could have him on the ticket specifically to handle the "were goin to defcon 5" role.

2. Haha, I'm being censored for being critical of this idiotic amendment.

Remember folks Stefan says it's non-partisan, but common sense says it's going to be partisan. Nothing changes except you loose more money.
