Who's the nitwit?

Rick Anderson of the Seattle Weekly continues to look into the official automobile usage of Seattle's self-styled Green Mayor: "Mayor Greg Nickels Continues to Blow Off His Own Gas-Saving Advice". Since April 2004, taxpayers have spent $83,000 buying and leasing cars for the mayor's use, including the hybrid he bought last year only weeks after I first reported that Nickels' chauffeured limousine was drinking 5 gallons of gasoline a day.

Now, Anderson reports, the Mayor is using even more gas than before and the city's already looking into replacing the mayor's $45,000 hybrid.

And when Anderson requested the public records for this article, the Mayor's spokeswoman called him a "nit wit".

1. On hearing that Mayor "Green" Nickels has been visiting the midwest and attended a Mariners game in Chicago, I'd be interested to know how many days it took for him to pedal his bicycle to get there.

2. Something I've noticed about liberals in general: They never, ever, will admit they've been wrong about anything. Nickels will never acknowledge that he doesn't walk his talk. God am I sick of these phonies.

3. A bit off topic but I just went to the mailbox and received a slick, heavy, not environmentally friendy flyer from City Council candidate Tim Burgess. Great picture of the guy too, a classic 1960's liberal with his little gray beard and I'm smarter than you smirk. I bet he does yoga.

Says Burgess, "My progressive values are informed by a lifetime in Seattle". This is the way these people actually talk. I'm not making it up.

Excuse me while I go throw up.

5. Nickels is mayor "developers Green"
He is not trying to save a whale ,salmon or even frog for that matter.
Nickels wants gentrification, higher sqaure footage rates, and higher taxes.
The developers do not have enough profitable business concepts under long term lease ,to take to a bank for a loan, so Nickels lies to the public for Transportation funding to get the funds for them.
Meanwhile back pack wearing greenies are propped up with 1000 friends of Greg Smith by Developer Greg Smith to woop woop woop for saving a whale salmon or frog.

6. I love it! After decades of The Weekly pandering to the liberal establishment of downtown and Capitol Hill, its new editorial management is Republican and finally giving some fair and balanced reporting in the Seattle urban scene.

8. I certainly glad Nickels is not a Pierce County problem.

Just why is Seattle so nutty?

9. "Just why is Seattle so nutty?"

Because Seattle is 80% liberal.

10. Mayor Chavez, errrr- make that Nickels--will not renew the publishing license of The Weekly. A platoon of sanctuary illegals will be sent over to shut it down.

11. We're all nitwits, we need them to tell us how to live. I sitting on my couch waiting instructions on what's for dinner.

I have a word for them... commies.

13. This isn't really big news to anybody here at SP but bravo to the Weekly (years ago a buddy of mine worked there and he called it the "Bleakly" . . . but I digress) for having the honesty. You won't find articles in the Times or Pee Eye highlighting this type of "let them eat cake" hypocrisy. If the mainstream news sources in this stinking town did their job, Nickel Bag, Stienbrueck, Gooden and the rest of these frigging elitists wouldn't survive one term.

Unfortunately, Mayor Teletubby and the rest will all easily be re-elected unless they find a better deal elsewhere and choose to move on.

One thing I've always wondered. Do Mayor Bag-Ass, Stienbrueck and the other perps on the clowncil have any inkling of how they look to normal, informed citizens? Do they care or are they so detached from day to day reality that they don't see? I'm thinking that they inhabit the Liberal Feed-Back Loop. Everybody connected to them only touches people of like opinion and amplitude. No dissenting opinion(s) can penetrate nor are they solicited.

The Nickels Family Crime Syndicate needs those SUVs to run numbers between the casino. The family that hustles together, stays together!

16. It doesn't amaze me that Mayor Gridlock is one of the most hypocritical abusers of our planet but what does amaze me is that the media is giving him a free pass on this issue. Even the weekly gave this story short shrift.

While attacking the right for being gass guzzling, SUV driving, environmental terrorists this crime cartel boss is hauling his fat arse around in limo's and SUV's and patting himself on the back because he switched to a HYBRID SUV.

The media bought into the whole "responsible by press release" mentality and gave him glowing praise for driving a hybrid while completly ignoring the fact that he still was using TWO SUV's with paid "car pool dummies" so that he can use the car pool lanes and watch his handywork as he cruises past those stuck in his gridlock.

If this hypocrite had any desire to practice real environmental responsibility he would be stuffing his twinkie filled gut into a Prius and driving himself around.
