Words Versus Deeds

Joel Connelly looked at what John Edwards says.  I just finished looking at what John Edwards has done, and gave him a 0.1 on the Vilsack meter.  I think you will find the comparison between our two approaches interesting.

(If you have any requests for the next Vilsack meter rating, let me know in the comments, or directly by email to my new email address: jimxc1@gmail.com.  I am limiting myself to declared candidates, and plan to do a Republican next.) Posted by Jim Miller at May 08, 2007 05:05 PM | Email This

2. Now if you happen to be a malpractice attorney who personally profits by increasing citizens health care costs with lawsuits using faulty science while driving doctors from rural parts of your home state and then you come out a decade later for "Universal Health Care", how does this rate on the old Vilsack?

3. No kidding! I was steamed to beat the band that I couldn't post in re that nasty Eric Oemig pic. That son-of-the-Taliban is my state Senator, and he's insulted my soldier son and Marine son, not to mention he defamed Toby Nixon out of a senate seat.

It's one of my missions in life to get Eric Oemig, D-Tehran, replaced with almost anyone!

4. When I observe Connelly or Edwards, I flash back on that old Texas saying: "Steers try..."

5. Going to need a new tytpe of meter for Edwards. Rhymes with 'Vilsack" and stars with a "B".

6. Yeah, but he looks pretty.

Seems like the Vilsack meter is good, but it made me wonder, "if you have accomplished something while an elected in government, doesn't that by definition mean you have ticked somebody off and don't have a chance for further office?"

I don't know if that is a good corollary or not, but it is why I sometimes stick with someone like Bush or Reagan or even Nixon, thought they sure ticked people off.

7. funny--my dictionary shows "edwards" and "lamprey" as the same entry...wonder why?

gutting most doctors' practices due to fear, 2nd guessing & lawsuits?

forcing insurance companies to jack malpractice rates to an unsustainable level due to runaway lotto-juries? subjugating true good-sense doctoring to "CYA medicine?"

printing asinine warnings on every product? look at the recent shoplifter incident at Albertson's. employees fired. dirtbag (alleged) perp given near hallowed status.

it's all upside down if you ask me. and you want lib Dems in power in '08? good luck. watch your wallet & assets. because THEY are...like vultures...
