Larry Coppola writes that Kitsap County Commissioner Chris Endresen will resign on June 28 to become State Director of U.S. Sen. Maria Cantwell's office.
In March, two-term Republican Commissioner Jan Angel announced she wouldn't seek a third term. With Endresen out of the picture, 26-year old Democrat Josh Brown will become the county's senior commissioner. Angel and Brown, will appoint Endresen's replacement within five days of her resignation. If they can't agree, the appointment will be made by the governor.Posted by Stefan Sharkansky at April 30, 2007 10:13 AM | Email This
Yah, and God knows, that's what he's suppose to do, right? I mean, the President's appointees aren't suppose to be political at all. /sarc
Your ignorance is stunning as always, Cato.

Why then do you seem so surprised a Democrat is going to fill this position? Seems to me that you're the ignoramus here.
As usual you can't follow a line of reasoning. Go back and play in your sandbox and leave the adult stuff to the adults.
Posted by: REBEL on April 30, 2007 12:44 PMCommissioner Joshua W. Brown fought back a court challenge to his residency for running for his position. While he did dodge the bullet -- metaphorically -- and kept his job thanks to a ruling by Judge Verser saying the plaintiffs' impressive case did not rise to the bar set by Verser, Brown still faces Class C felony complaint. Brown is the candidate for office who filed false voter registration (admitted to in court and signed by his own hand) and the matter was filed in a complaint. The complaint went to Kitsap Prosecutor, who predictably by the complaintant, recused Kitsap Prosecutor, investigators and courts from the felony inquiry.
The matter now resides before Pierce County Prosecutor Horne who is (supposedly) examining the case. If Brown's matter breaks for justice and against him, we would conceivably have two vacanies to fill.
If you want more details on the matter of the Class C felony, contact Pierce County Prosecutor's office for details. Perhaps you will have more luck getting answers than I did after filing the matter.
Kitsap County is getting to be quite the political pot boiler.
What's worrisome is the absence of any name to fill in this blank: "Oh, how I wish they would pick _____________ to serve the remainder of Endresen's term in office."
Does anyone know of a good carpetbagger who wants to move to North Kitsap to fill the void left when Josh Brown "moved" to Central Kitsap?

Charlie Bermant's article (www.centrealkitsapreporter.com) (5/5/07) in the CK Reporter "Legal case against Commissioner Brown Continues." Mentions Morgan's filing a complaint for perjury. Hauge's reference to referring case to Costello in Pierce Co. "Costello, who just finished a lengthy murder trial,is on vacation until May 21.He said he expected to determine the cases shortly after his return."
That is the essence of the story."
