Today's Seattle Times editorial, "Undignified mess at Port of Seattle", criticizes the attempt to give recently retired Executive Mic Dinsmore an unearned golden parachute.
What remains at the Port of Seattle Commission is an undignified mess. Commissioners need to make some apologies and get back to the people's business. But it's not Commissioners who are at fault here. It is one Commissioner, Pat Davis, who is solely responsible for this scandal. Curiously, the Seattle Times endorsed Davis when she was up for re-election in 2005, criticizing her opponent Jack Jolley for accusing the Port of "undisciplined, extravagant overspending". Really.
The Times editorial board is an undignified mess and needs to make some apologies.
