Ron Sims will introduce the new King County elections director today at noon.
I have a prior engagement, cannot attend the press conference and will be away from my desk. Feel free to watch the Executive's website for the press release and post the news in the comments.
Regarding Brian Newby, who had been speculated earlier as a possible nominee. A reporter from Kansas City just called me to ask about the incident with the inappropriate comment that was posted on this blog last Friday. He told me that Newby confirmed today that he had indeed been a finalist for the King County job, but stated emphatically that he wouldn't be taking the job.

Notice she has worked in the KCE for the last 2.5 years. So she started right around the time of the 04 debacle. Here is a link:

Seems there is no end to the wastefull spending at King County.
Great use of taxpay money!

Sherril Huff appointed by Sims to replace Logan after his departure.
Sounds to me like a strategy to get a like-minded Democrat activist into the Elections Office that was implemented 2 years ago.
Actually, it was the other way around... Logan got his "good home trainin'" from her.
Posted by: Mike H on April 19, 2007 02:28 PMDoesn't this remind everyone of the Cantwell-Dotzauer connection? I know that this is to a certain degree rampant in all areas of life. But Democrats take it to a new level in their brazen carriage of anything, no matter how unseamly it appears.
They all studied well under Billy Jeff!
