It's on the P-I

Finally, the Horse's Ass blog has a post that's worth reading.

I wouldn't necessarily believe anything I read over there, but the story is moderately amusing, though scatological, and not inconsistent with my expectations of the people who write for the P-I.

2. The Seattle Post-Intelligencer's circulation will be their demise--not some attorney's contract. Cancellations exceed 12% a year--every year. The math will catch up with them and the next round of drinks will be with the bums on Pike Street. (Where they belong.)

3. I gave up the asses at HA before Lent... not even you can tempt me back, Stefan.

4. You know, The people on this blog (myself notwithstanding) are so much more up-scale and refined than that other one. I mean, manners, language, intelligence, thoughtfulness, you-name-it. It's really not even interesting to look anymore unless you happen to need some new profanity or insult for some really special occasion.

5. More than that, Mykela, it's just wearing to spend any time there. I found my anger that had its genesis in response to those kiddies (and yes, they are simple kiddies in every sense of the word: from their smallnes to their immaturity) carried over to my off-line life. Who needs that? Again, like so much of that touched by todays liberals, HA is a shining example of 'lowest common denominator' and even worse, shamelessly profiting form lowest common denomindator.

From Stefan to Orb to Postman: I automatically close any link that attempts to direct me there.

As often is suggested here: don't feed the animals.

6. I would not go so far as to completely dismiss HA. Every once in a while, Goldy actually reports something interesting or useful. Ususally when it has nothing to do with Puget Sound or politics as in the case of the contaminated pet food.

However, I do suggest that no one ever click to read his comments. You'd be hard pressed to find a more incoherent, profane, immature and hate filled spew anywhere in the secular progressive blogosphere. Goldy tolerates this "bathroom wall" and encourages the hate and lather than these folks work themselves into.

But not to let the bloggers themselves off the hook. The main page is filled with profanity and childish commentary as well.

There's a badge of honor amongst secular progressive bloggers whereby profanity, anger, diatribes and manifestos are all encouraged. It ties in to the general lefty hysteria. You know, Edwards' blogger Amanda Marcotte, 9-11 Truthers, Parades of Paper Machaied Bush Haters, and Keith Olbermann style preaching. HA is a fine example of this genre.

If you want to keep your blood pressure down, and you want reasoned debate, and mostly genteel and respectful commentary, you won't find it at Horses Ass.

7. Since I the P.I. is only fit (barely) to line my bird's cage (thankfully he can't read) and to corral spillage from my elderly cat's the litter box, it all sorta fits.
