Elections Director Update

Ron Sims' spokesman Sandeep Kaushik answered my question whether Brian Newby was "under active consideration for any job at King County Elections?":

We expect to announce a new Records and Elections director shortly. In the interim, we are not going to comment on internal personnel deliberations. That said, I would caution you, for the sake of your own reputation and credibility, to not jump to conclusions about the search process.
I appreciate the friendly caution. I feel comfortable with these conclusions:

1) If Sims appoints an elections official who has made unprofessional statements about pending election matters as Newby made about I-25, the appointee will face opposition.

2) King County will have difficulty recruiting competent and untainted professionals to any senior elections post until control of the office is transferred from the Executive to a separately elected non-partisan official.

3) That WILL happen, provided the I-25 campaign raises enough money to complete the signature drive. You can help ensure success. Donate to I-25 today.

1. How magnanimous it is of Ron's mouthpiece to be looking out for your reputation.

2. I agree with point 1). There SHOULD be opposition to someone who does not even show the GUISE of fairness or self-control. And if Newby gets the post, many will rightly complain and demand another.

You don't have to read too hard between the line of DeepSand's comments to conclude Newby ain't the guy....or do you??

Hard to imagine Sim's would even dream of appointing Newby.....or would he??
Hmmmmmmmm?
Deepsand is concerned about your reputation?? I thought it was already as low as you could go in our Kounty Administration's eyes cuz you are a TROUBLEMAKER Stefan.
