1. Yeah, and with as much effect no doubt!

2. As usual, the clear thinking Illuminati of Olympia have decided that doing anything to adapt to change is not a good idea. Their entire plan is to work toward reducing CO2 with not a penny dedicated to alleviating the one impact that all agree will cause the most havoc to our economy and population - the loss of snow pack in the mountains.

Almost all agricultural activity east of Cascade divide depends on snow melt to fill the reservoirs that store water for irrigation during the hot summer months.

Regardless of what is driving climatic warming (yes, you can believe that global warming is occuring and not buy off on the CO2 mechanism), the winter snow-pack will be reduced.

So why isn't the goverment doing anything to address this? A few answers occur to me, like bandwagonism and ignorance, but there must a few thoughtful individuals in goverment who are looking at the long term.

3. #2: Because Olympia, as usual, has no clue on what to do. Just look at the depth of scientific knowledge on the Climate advisory council (little to none I would say, just thinking about the people on the council I know...and they are no deep thinkers to say the least, nor versed in any science field..unless you think and MBA or lawyers are knowledgeable enough).

Global warming is happening as a regular process. But the only published reason and theory put out there is CO2...therefore, Olympia needs to be "active" in doing something about CO2. How this will help with the real issue is a completely different problem, but voters are considered dumb and forgetful. Hey, we are doing something and if it just creating more "hot air" in Olympia.

And to your snow pack issue: I'm waiting for someone in Olympia to actually spout that "Less snow is good as it will cause less people to move to the area for the winter sport, therefore less polution" etc :-)...

4. If the folks in Olympia are not happy with the snow pack they can do the same thing they are doing with WASL. They can change the measuring device. If they shorten the distance between the gradients on the ruler by, say 15%, we could see an immediate 15% increase in our snow pack.

5. Dutch@3:

There are plenty of published peer reviewed atricles that have proposed other mechanisms. It just that the MSM doesn't know where to find them and would not likely understand them if they did.

The MSM listen only to their philosophical brethren on left, who have dumbed down and spun the science to agree with their quasi-religeous beliefs. They learned this from the Creation "Science" folks - and learned it well.

6. Global Warming is something for the Seattle Bourgeoise Bohemian Krowd to discuss while drinking white wine & eating Brie cheese.
These nutjobs continuously mistake motion for action...refusing to make personal sacrifices.
For example...if they are so convinced about the impact of Global Warming on our sea level, why in the world would they promote the Surface Gridlock/Underwater option for the AWV???????????
Why aren't they outraged at their Dishonorable Mayor FatAss burning up fossil fuels spewing CO2 for a Photo Op in a helicopter???
What aren't they outraged at politically correct John Revolting Travolta lecturing about Global Warming while owning 5 Airplanes...flying his family around in a 707???
Where is the outrage????????????????
It's easier to tell other politically incorrect folks to make sacrifices.

7. I offerred to be Queen Christine's sex slave but she wouldn't have me. The Queen said I had to stay here on Sound Politics and post 10,000 more times before she would let me lick her shoes. I hope there's old gum on them. I love that.

9. Hello Everyone,

There is a certain humour to the above post.

10. Hello Everyone--
Good News.
Not only is Global Warming real, but Governor Gregoire has offered up Fat Ivan Weiss as a substitute sex slave. I am mighty desperate and oh so lonely here in my Florida Halfway House that I am seriously considering that option. Ivan & I seem to have much in common. We believe in fantasy and Al Gore. We both enjoy eating at McDonald's 3 times per day. Christine is way to skinny & scarey looking anyway.

14. Ha-ha! A post about history. Now Don is in his element.

Don't forget the Roman Emperor Caligula (37-41 AD) who reportedly wandered around the palace at night ordering the sun to rise.

And of course the Aztec civilization which sacrificed tens of thousands of subjegated peoples at their altars in order to cause the sun to appear in the east each morning.

So I guess human sacrifice causes global warming. I think that thesis has the makings of a good post:-)

15. "Chris" Lib-oire recently formed yet another council, the "Solar Circadean Watch Group".

Said Lib-oire in a recent press conference "scientists are united. Each and every day the sun rises, then sets. Something must be done to fight the circadean crises looming in the background".

By increasing sales taxes she can provide several hundred $90K positions in Olympia whose job it is to to prepare Washington State for the Circadean Crises.

There's a wonderful glimmer of humour in the above.

17. Hello David--
Ahhhhhhh yes.
I see your dilemna here.
If you believe in Global Warming, you must also believe in Ivan as a sub.???
As your Ego David, it is my job to make you feel meaningful well beyond your true value.
The thought of you...or anyone for that matter, with ivan weiss is disgusting & the ultimate ego crusher.
Something worthy of pondering during your immense amount of free-time this Palm Sunday.
