Some Democrats Want Impeachment Debate Stopped

Interesting report from David Postman about Congressional Democrats wanting their counterparts in the Legislature to tone down talk of Impeachment. Smart political analysts on both sides of the aisle will likely agree Democrats are more apt to harm than aid themselves with such shows.

Digest Postman's coverage and please discuss.

1. Not surprising. Another example of our Democrats showing the nation what loony means in the truest sense.

A divide could make the elections upcoming interesting.

2. Let them rant and rave. The bigger the spectacle, the better. It allows those who don't pay attention to politics 24/7 to see who's doing and saying what.

3. On the one hand, while they're wasting time with this debate, they're not debating or passing any new taxes on us.

On the other hand, they may not intend to debate passing new taxes on us - they'll just do it as a last minute thing as they head out the door....

Go ahead. Put Cheney in charge....

Better yet, be creative and put Pelosi in charge - would that change the complexion on the '08 presidential pool?

Oops. Sure can waste time on this topic....

4. Ladies and gentlemen of SP: I think that if you want to regain congress in 2008 and hold onto the White House, now is the time to contact Oemig, Fairley, Murray and the other bad actors and encourage them to pursue impeachment at all costs. A tide of e-mails to encourage the predisposed and chastise those that want to bury it will start the ball rolling.

We need the Demorats to pursue this and show the American people how radicalized and screwy these people are. Encouraging these screwballs will increase their need to make more noise so that the MSM will start to report their leftist, out-of-the-mainstream view.

What these dinkuses don't seem to understand is that Bush hasn't done anything impeachable so we are safe there.

Fairley is my Representative and I'm shooting her an encouraging e-mail right now.

On the outside chance that they are successful, wouldn't it be nice to have Cheney running things?

5. Let them do their own thing. The Rs need to get their house in order first. GW will take care of himself, thank you.

6. Maybe the Olympia cabal should start closer to home and demand ousting that questionable fireman/lawn mower Geoffrey Simpson.

8. Impeachment hearings: a big waste of time. Catering to radical haters at KOS and that's about it. They'll find out sooner or later how looney it makes them look.

9. What's sickening is that only some Dumocrats recognize what an idiotic idea it is. What are they smoking on that hill?

10. If you look at hotair.com, they have Google Video of Patty Murray being interrupted by peacenick moonbats calling for her arrest for war crimes. Hey Patty - there's your base!

11. I believe that trying to impeach them shows strength rather than weakness. Kenneth Starr tried impeaching Clinton for a lot less and no one called him wacky? A real democracy would not tolerate the lies that the Bush administration has fed us.

We also need to be paying more attention to global poverty which is at the root of the problem of terrorism. Let's tell our representatives that not only do we want Bush impeached but we would like more money spent on foreign aid.

13. Marie2 - You're slipping into delusional again.

Making a statement that one believes is true, backed by the best data available, to people operating on the same data (and who also come to the same conclusion, is not lying. That is a error based upon faulty data. Lying is a deliberate untrue statement.

Clinton did lie, and he acknowledged his perjury in connection with the disbarrment proceding in Arkansas.

14. Marie2 - I'm sorry you embarrass yourself so easily. The Lunatic Left are going insane because the 2008 presidential election season has begun, which means impeachment will never happen - not that has a reason to happen in the first place. No High Crimes have been committed by this administration.

Bill Clinton was impeached. George W. Bush will not be. Those facts are driving the lefties insane.

Oh, and *yeah* - poverty causes terrorism. There's a laugh. The koran causes terrorism. Islam causes terrorism. Fanatics cause terrorism. Not poverty. Poverty is the goal.
