Grumpy Progressives Warm the Conservative Heart

It was clear even shortly after November's election that self-described "progressives" were likely to be left wanting by the actual accomplishments of a Democratic Congress. That drumbeat of disappointments caused by failure to meet expectations has already begun on domestic issues. Now, local blogger "The (liberal) Girl Next Door" gives us a delightful recounting of frustration with Harry Reid for even considering the idea of a temporary troop surge to Baghdad.

Read, enjoy, and have a happy holidays (including a Merry Christmas!). Next year should be fascinating since this grumpiness is emerging even before Democrats formally take power.

1. Liberals, progerssivs or whatever tag they are calling themselves tioday are invested solely in the politics of envy. This as sure-fire a way to missery as ever there was.

They always want, but generally look for some scheme to satisfy their wants at someone else's expense. Then they look to politicians to deliver for them, what a road to disapointment that must be.

4. Are they *ever* not grumpy? Remember, these are people that emotionally internalize every single perceived setback to the extreme...if it weren't for politics, they'd be depressed 'cause the 3rd latte of the day was 2 degrees colder than it normally is.

5. Steve: Just imagine what they'd be like if they were drinking REAL coffee! I just cannot help laughing. All these Dems moved so fast and hard to the center for the election, they should have been rear-ended. And now their base that elected them is bitching about them not following through on a liberal agenda. They just cannot make up their minds. Just proves that progressives are incapable of actually listening and analysing a campaign. If they had, they would never have elected these "so-called" centrists. It'll be fun to see how long it takes for the left-of-center centrists to lurch back to the left.

Any promises made to the Looney Left before the election were forgotten shortly after being elected. A blind man could see it coming.
