Mail Ballot Horror Show (XXX): A nationwide scourge

I focus my blogging on the mail ballot horror show here in Washington state. Gentry Lange, Green Party activist and former candidate, has started the "No Vote by Mail blog, dedicated to problems with absentee voting around the country.

(BTW, I tend to agree with the Greens only on a few issues, but if they want to increase their credibility in local politics, they would do well to promote more candidates who are as thoughtful and reasonable as Gentry).

1. You and Gentry Lange have a lot in common, Stefan. You are both fringe crazies scrambling desperately for credibility, and finding it elusive. So it is natural that you would join forces. Misery, after all, loves company.

2. And you, Ivan, are a thug and a fascist, who is incapable of responding to your adversaries' ideas except to say that your team happens to bigger at the moment.

3. I appreciate your compliments as always.

4. ivan, you seem to leave out any substance in your post with regard to the institutionalized fraud called Vote By Mail. I assume you are for it to more easily commit Gregoirean ballot shennanigans.

Somehow I could guess that the term 'crazie' is on YOUR resume, and 'credibility' not. Get a job.

5. I appreciate your concern, but I have a job. Thanks for caring.

7. Absentee voting is one of the worst ways to run an election. First, there is no way to know if your vote was counted until waty after the election. Secondly, having to pay in order to vote is a poll tax which is against the law. The fact it may cost less than a $1.00 is a red herring.....you still have to pay in order to vote. The best way to run an election is to do the following. 1. Reregister every voter to ensure the legallity of thei registration. 2. Issue a voter ID card for free. 3. Voter registration can take place only at certain governmental locations. NO outside groups doing voter drives. 4. Absentee ballots are for those who will be out of the country/area during the election cycle. 5. Use an early voting system....ie 30 days at the clerk of courts. 6. Use touch screen voting machines that will provide a paper trail...When a ballot is completed. the voter will recieve his/her copy, another will printed out for a double check of the figures. No political party will handle any ballots, nor will any ballots leave the voting area for signature verification, etc. Thats what we should be getting for the taxes we pay.

8. Ivan: I am at a loss to understand what makes you so bitter and obnoxious, particularly in the face of such tremendous wins, statewide and nationally? Or is that nastiness just a liberal trait? Or is it maybe fear?

9. I am a total Republican, but I am Genry Lange's biggest fan. I saw him on PBS once. I forget what it was - probably something with Enrique Cerna. Maybe the Irons/Sims debate? Anyways, Mr. Lange came across so well -- thoughtful, deliberate, calm. It was surprising to see someone like that come from the Greens. I hope he runs against McDermott. I'd sign wave for him. :)

10. If vote fraud by absentee ballot is going on, it is only a matter of time until the mainstream media is forced to report on it. Given the penchant for the current mainstream media to look the other way at liberal wrong doing, it may be quite a while. But as the street value of a legal, signed, blank absentee ballot increases, even the brain-dead dinosaur media will have to take an interest. Maybe 2008?
