State Democrat Party Chairman "Cuba" Dwight Pelz has been fined $1,750 for violating campaign-finance reporting rules during his unsuccessful 2005 bid for City Council.
Richard Pope first publicized the issue of Pelz's financial report irregularities back in January, when Pelz was running for party chairman. But the Democrats elected him anyway. Makes one wonder whether the inability to file campaign finance reports is a prerequisite for the job.

Regarding campaign and many other laws, democrats view them as "suggestions," not "laws."
When they break them,it's always "different."
Just ask Ted Kennedy or Gary Studds.
Well, Kennedy, at least.
Fidel Pelz is no exception.

Posted by: TrueSoldier on October 20, 2006 03:29 PMno one hires experts/admin people for this? i don't believe any of the excuses. most people know EXACTLY where every penny is--remember that phrase "ignorance of the law is no defense?"
they all are counting on a voter's short attention span.
