"KING County Superior Court Judge Mary E. Roberts struck down Initiative 747 property-tax limits last month(June 2006), paving the way for state and local officials to increase the tax burden by as much as 6 percent a year." Seattle Times 7-12-2006
Apparently the AG is working on an appeal to the WA Supreme Court to uphold the 1% limit. Meanwhile, our local tax collectors talk about the 1% limit as certain protection over rising property tax bills and fail to inform the public about details, like the fact the limit was struck down in King County!

Geezer
Posted by: The Geezer on September 23, 2006 10:00 AMYeah. By all means. Ask the state attorney general to weigh in on a congressional issue simply to make a partisan point. Why not ask him what he thinks of William Jefferson's freezer full of cash while you're at it? You need to get a grip, Thor.
And I suspect the state and county law enforcement officials would disagree with your 'expert' opinion, Geezer.
