Justice for Who?

When Justice Bobbe Bridge was arrested for a hit and run in 2003 while driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.22%, Chief Justice Gerry Alexander said

I told her we were fully supportive of her
Justice, maybe, but for who? [MOV file]

Scroll down to this post for a list of other reasons why I'm voting for John Groen to unseat Gerry Alexander.

1. right, Stefan--this "Bobbe thing" stuck in my craw for a long time; the Average Joe or Jill would have been in jail; what a role model--"do as i say"

conservatives locally and nationally have been forced to resign or were prosecuted for much less--sometimes from only a thoughtless slip of the tounge;

2. And all the Liberal hipocrits over on HA will be voting for her, at the same time they continually and daily blast McGavick on the same subject.

Never a word of ole Teddy either, except from a few posters who will not let them forget.

They must have a gene disorder....Amazing.

3. Some time after Justice Bridge received deferred prosecution, which required her to refrain from drinking, she and her husband were pictured in a story in one of the Seattle papers (The Times, I think). It was some sort of fluff piece on their lovely home. They were photographed with a couple of glasses of wine.

4. But McGavick had only a .18% BAC, didn't hit anyone,didn't leave the scene of an accident, and wasn't even in an elected position of great responsibility.

Go figure.

5. Wow, Bridge blew .22! That's even higher than McGavick and she's a woman with a smaller body and a smaller bloodstream.

Where's the outrage from Goldstein and the HA crew? ...Crickets Chirping...

Oh wait, Bobbe Bridge and her husband have strong ties to Christine Gregoire.

I almost forget, Goldstein is just a transparent shill for Democrats and Progressives.

6. One of these days us "commoners" are going to snap at all the preferential treatment politicians get. When that happens every lamp post in Olympia is going to have a politician swinging from it. I can't wait.

7. (Jimmie's Bartender Book--Page 6:) "The Bobby"
(guest mixes own drink at host's house)

1.5 oz gin; dash vermouth; chill with ice;
pour into host's expensive chilled martini glass;
hit filled martini glass on nearby kitchen appliance to break it; quickly abandon glass & kitchen unnoticed;
feign ignorance, hover over hour d'ovure tray or hide out in bathroom for 10 mins.

8. "Justice for who?"

Shouldn't that be "whom"?

9. Teddy swam all the way from Chappaquidic(?) to sober up, Bobby should have at least had time to get home.

10. ...And she would have gotten away with it too if not for those pesky parked cars...

11. Spare me the "preferential treatment" and that the average person "would have been in jail." It takes more like 5-10 convictions to get sent to jail for DUI in this state; her punishment was pretty standard.

She owned up to it and paid the price. Now can we talk about the issues, please? (And yes, I say the same thing about McGavick, too.)
