FBI Searches For 11 Egyptian Men Missing in U.S.

"FBI Warns Law Enforcement to Look Out for 11 Missing Egyptian Exchange Students"

The men, who range in age from 18 to 22, were scheduled to attend a month-long program in U.S. history and culture, plus English language instruction, at Montana State University.
But they never showed up. Maybe they're in Seattle looking for the light-rail train, which is being built for tourists from Montana. Unfortunately, the public wasn't given enough information to help identify the missing men:
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement would not disclose the names of the 11
The only thing we know about them is that they're Egyptian and we can't use that information because that would be ethnic profiling.

1. Lets see....

Looking for a group of 11 people...

Wearing clothing...

Don't speak english, but want to learn...

Not US Citizens, but here on Visa's...

First place to look would be KC Records and Elections, see if 11 people(men) registered to vote lately with funny last names and the same address.

2. hmmm---too scary for politicians to address--

let's see...they can't learn this in their oil-funded state-paid universities? "just lost?" in America? and why Montana? less scrutiny in a less-populated state? or do they just love assimilating, wearing 10-gallon hats, strolling down Main Street in Anaconda & photographing bison? I doubt it;

zippo--right to their communities in any major city for assistance; am I suspicious? bigoted? maybe--it's like any immigration-security issue--who's here? why? me & my government (or any soveriegn govenment) have a right to damn well know to avoid later "issues;"

and another thing--why aren't there mandated "sponsors" who are primarily & legally liable for ALL their students' legal, finances and whereabouts before any alien sets foot here? even for good purposes? no one is on the hook for them? individuals? organizations?

3. ...and let us address the profiling, tolerance, prejudice, paranoia and diversity issues all at once concerning these "missing" alleged "students"...

Based on REAL, ACTUAL and RECENT Seattle history, should we not be concerned about "likelihoods" or "tendencies" or just common sense caution or should we just "go along and get along?"

I suggest vigilance and enforcing our laws. Find them & help them if lost or truly needy--but find out WHY they 'strayed' from their AGREED TO COMMITTMENTS and PLANS with our generous Country. Stop the crap and make people follow the law.

4. Flight schools, trains, buses, equipment rentals, truck rentals and care rental agencies should all be checked.

5. It will be interesting to see what the moonbats have to say on this one. Eleven males from a muslim country in the age group noted for being homicide bombers. Duh. I would certainly hope this is just a case of being delayed for some legitimate reason, but right now this looks very suspicious.

7. Jimmie-

I believe they do have a sponsor. His name is Akbar Bin Snakbar, owner of Akbar's Furtilizer and Truck Rental Hut.

Seriously, they need to find these guys. If it looks, sounds, walks like a duck- must be a duck.

8. Note to self: stay out of Seattle and othe well known BIG CITIES...

Isn't there a huge international soccer game being held in Seattle this week?

9. These dudes will stand out like a sore thumb in Montana....but easily slither into the ethno-diversity of Seattle.
Is it racial profiling to single them out based on how they WALK????
You all remember the song by the Bangles called "WALK LIKE AN EGYPTIAN" don't you?

Posted by: Mr. Cynical on August 8, 2006 01:25 PM
10. WALK LIKE AN EGYPTIAN
"The Bangles"

All the old paintings on the tombs
They do the sand dance dont you know
If they move too quick (oh whey oh)
Theyre falling down like a domino

All the bazaar men by the nile
They got the money on a bet
Gold crocodiles (oh whey oh)
They snap their teeth on your cigarette

Foreign types with the hookah pipes say
Ay oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh
Walk like an egyptian

The blonde waitresses take their trays
They spin around and they cross the floor
Theyve got the moves (oh whey oh)
You drop your drink then they bring you more

All the school kids so sick of books
They like the punk and the metal band
When the buzzer rings (oh whey oh)
Theyre walking like an egyptian

All the kids in the marketplace say
Ay oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh
Walk like an egyptian

Slide your feet up the street bend your back
Shift your arm then you pull it back
Life is hard you know (oh whey oh)
So strike a pose on a cadillac

If you want to find all the cops
Theyre hanging out in the donut shop
They sing and dance (oh whey oh)
Spin the clubs cruise down the block

All the japanese with their yen
The party boys call the kremlin
And the chinese know (oh whey oh)
They walk the line like egyptian

All the cops in the donut shop say
Ay oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh
Walk like an egyptian
Walk like an egyptian

11. Ahhh... Egypt! A delightful place, or so I'm told. People busy themselves with building pyramids the whole day long, and then in the evening they worship colorful animal-themed gods with names like "Osirus" "Set" and "Ra!" I can't imagine why we would have any trouble at all with eight to ten young Egyptian men wondering about. Perhaps they're lost due to their difficulty in reading non-hyroglyph based text. Or perhaps they heard that there were pyramids down in Mexico and decided to pop down for a look.

12. Maybe we'll find out where they are on August 22nd?

Posted by: katomar on August 8, 2006 02:05 PM
13. ...or perhaps September 11th?

Posted by: Saltherring on August 8, 2006 02:21 PM
14. katomar - I'm more concerned with a five year 'celebration' - 9/11!

15. ... even worse, these guys were sent in as decoys from the real thing.

Posted by: Fred on August 8, 2006 02:22 PM
16. Worse yet they are testing out potential means to send in terrorists to this country with visa's. Monitoring how long it takes to be found so they can setup plans accordingly. It is just one of several trial runs or this could be the real thing, Only time will tell.

17. I've been to Egypt and other Middle Eastern countries. Can't say as I've lost anything there or have the desire to ever return.

18. Something about this doesn't seem right. The FBI knows they landed at JFK. Did they walk out of JFK? Don't they have surveillance cameras? If they got on another plane, shouldn't they be on the manifest? Eleven guys from Egypt don't just disappear.

Of course, this should make the dems feel better that DHS and the FBI can't track someone.

19. how about milk cartons? Should we put their faces on milk cartons? "Have you seen this lost student or terrorist?" I just hope it doesn't cause the milk to turn faster, I'm lucky if the stuff makes it to its expiration date.

20. Once again it is time to recall the Hungry Bear story of security. This is about the two guys walking in the woods and they come across the big hungry bear. One guy turns around and starts running and his buddy calls to him saying, "Dude, you can't out run that bear!" His friend replies, "I don't have to out run the bear, I just have to out run you!"

So we have to ask ourselves, if we were 11 Muslim youths foot loose and free in America and perhaps up to some mischief...who looks slower...Seattle? Or Portland?
Or maybe Wallingford.

21. Egyptians? Let's see, what was that latest diatribe from Egyptian and Al Qaeda despot Ayman al-Zawahari?

Oh yes, here it is:

AP Aug 06 CAIRO, Egypt - Al-Qaida's No. 2 leader announced in a new videotape aired Saturday that an Egyptian militant group has joined the network.

22. 11 Students depart a jet, alternate identities, visas, etc. board 11 different flights to 11 major cities and initiate 11 different terrorist sleeper cells.

Sure hope we're not listening in on calls or profiling, it may get the liberals all upset.

My guess is that they chose students that were similar in height, build, coloring, hair color and length. Hmmm.

23. Stupid question- Why are we allowing Middle East students into our country at all.

I'm sorry but wasn't it the same that took down the towers? Maybe I'm just an ignorant simpleton biggot but I'd say, NO MORE MIDDLE EAST STUDENTS - PERIOD. This is going to bite us in the butt.

24. Well, we'd better get serious about the damned immigration issues soon, because we can expect a few more unfriendly visitors:

25. I really wonder where most of this country has been for the last 40 years -- WSU and UW engineering depts were rotten with foreign students clear back in the last half of the 60's - in 1968 ole Pres Johnson cut off all graduate school deferments and for the next 4 years or so there were essentially NO Americans in the engineering graduate schools -- nice little payback to the greatest generation and their kids for all the taxes they and their parents had paid to build and support the universities - not just here but throughout the country the grad schools filled up with foreign students -- largely moslem and I can attest that many of them had marginal qualifications -- hey folks -- charity begins at home

After 9-11 there should have been a 20 year 100% moratorium on any visas of ANY kind from ANY Moslem country or any moslem PERIOD.

26. FLASH! In response to the missing college lads Seattle police chief Gil Kerlikowske has dispatched police officers to guard the historic Egyptian Theater on East Pine Street. Chief Kerlikowske himself won't be on guard though because he's still looking for his stolen gun.

27. What a crock:

Montana State University Provost David Dooley said 17 Mansoura University students signed up for a 32-day cultural-exchange program to intensively study English, learn about Montana history and go on several field trips.

32. here's how to find them: (just like calling every company's customer service these days)--test them for MT know-how:

wear a 10-gallon hat & make them pronounce "howdy, Pardner" & ask them to find Deer Lodge on a map...yup-gets 'em every time; and it's not profiling--just simple assimilation/cultural testing they seek; then, put a huge slab of BBQ baby backs in front of them; the fist to flinch is your man;

33. Peggy U.,

And what makes them think they will gravitate to the east coast, when the west coast has just as many targets. Why couldn't they hit Chicago or Nashville? What is so special about the east coast?

The government doesn't seem to be able to do any kind of threat assessment or anticipate the terrorists next move. They just look at the last incident and beef up surveillance in the same areas.

Don't rely on the authorities to keep you safe. We all have to be on the lookout for people and situations that look suspicious.

35. Oh, my God.

The feds ("Open Borders 'R' Us") are actually giving authority to law enforcement other than the ICE to worry about someone's immigration status?

They must be VERY worried.

40. guess i got carried away with caution--maybe it's just an innocent movie remake of "The Magnificent 11," Pardner!

The cowboys with the rpg's strapped on their sides in place of six-shooters are probably your guys. Also, watch the movie extras in those sleepy Mexican movie set towns. The snoozing guys (sleeper cells) not wearing sombreros but turbans are your "lost cowboys." And the horses--riding through town shooting, hootin' & hollerin' on camels are probably your lost students.

yea--i'm "insensitive"--but so were the plane flyers on 9-11. How these guys can't stick out like a thumb in small towns on the Great Plains is beyond me.
