It's not in the P-I

As I noted earlier, the folks at the Shi'ittle Post-Intelligencer have a habit of parroting the Hezbollah propaganda blaming Israel for the deaths of innocent Lebanese civilians. But here's an essential part of the story you haven't read in the P-I: "Hezbollah is Using Christian Villages to Shield its Military Operations in Violation of International Law"

A Christian from the village of Ain Ebel, who is nameless because he fears retribution by Hezbollah, discovered Hezbollah guerillas were setting up a launcher to fire Katyusha rockets from the rooftop of his home. Ignoring his pleas to stop, they fired the missiles. He immediately gathered his family and fled home, which indeed was bombed and destroyed 15 minutes later by an Israeli air strike.
NPR also reports from Ain Ebel.

1. Standard Operating Procedure for the Media:
1) If a liberal or someone who is either anti-Republican, anti-Christian, anti-Israel, anti-America, anti-corporate, pro-tax, or anti-capitalist says something, don't question it, take it at face value.
2)Anything a Christian, Republican, pro-Israel, pro-American, pro-business, anti-tax, or pro-capitalist person says is to be doubted, mocked, and challenged immediately.

2. Growing up, we were led to believe that newspapers were as unassailable as Superman. Now we see that they can be as racist and unjust as the Third Reich.

3. I don't think they can print anything that might make Israel look justified in the P-I. I think there's been some sort of liberal Pow-Wow on Israel. They all have the talking points. They just keep repeating it and hoping maybe no one will notice, say it with me:

It was a hate crime not terror.
We need sustainable peace.
Israelis are targeting civilians.
The documents were fake but accurate.

4. No fan of Hezbollah, I, but I would prefer if you stick to your stated purpose of "Sound Commentary on Current Events in Seattle, Puget Sound and Washington State."

5. Yes, I understand that these villagers were screaming to the reporters "Tell them they are shooting from in between our homes! Please tell people that!"

Which is why you're not hearing that very thing much. It would not fit in with the leftist anti-Israel tack these reporters are putting out.

If you have not watched the film "Obsession", then you all must: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6162397493278181614&q=obsession

Share this with anyone who will take the time to watch it, especially young people. They are the ones who will bear the brunt of this ugliness.

7. Legast, I was hoping Stefan would delve into world poltical issues a little more, but I figured he wasn't because, like you mentioned, the name of the site.

However, we have a tight senatorial race where national issues take on more importance. One is on the side of the current administration and the other is walking a tightrope strung by Hillary Clinton where she is for the war while she is against the war. Ask Mark Wilson about that one.

The stuff in Israel and how the politicians react to it are very important. It is a political issue for us here on the Sound.

And interestingly enough, Stefan has stuff here on the Israel situation that I haven't seen elsewhere on the net.

8. In case you missed it, Legast, a man killed a woman last Friday because he was mad about what's happening between Israel and Lebanon.

The connection IS indeed here in Seattle.

9. But Ferrous, there can be no connection between the Seattle shooting and terrorism. Just ask any liberal.

The same ones that tell you that we can't be fighting Al Qaeda in Iraq right now because there's absolutely no connection between Iraq and Al Qaeda.
