We're testing a new feature for Sound Politics -- the ability for readers to post articles and "diary" entries, (similar to what is available on some other sites, such as Daily Kos and RedState). Our goal is to expand the Sound Politics discussion and to hear more from our many very smart and engaged readers.
The installation is still experimental. We're using the free version of Scoop, right out of the box, with only the minimal necessary customizations. The system is fully operational. You can start posting your diaries and articles right now! Just visit
http://diaries.soundpolitics.com/
To set up a user account, just click on the "Make a new account" link on the right side of the page and take it from there.
We're aware that the default user interface needs a bit of work. We look to you, valued reader and diarist, to send us any bug reports and tell us what you like and don't like, which features you find most useful and which of the default features you find unnecessary and confusing. We'll act on your suggestions to configure the interface and improve the experience.
To give feedback, e-mail us at: diaries at soundpolitics d@t com.
We can't promise to answer individual questions, but every comment will be read and seriously considered as we upgrade the interface. Be sure to read the documentation on the Scoop project website for basic questions.

Went to start a diary and got the verification email and went there and it would not allow me to login ( Login Incorrect). Had it email me a password, it did, tried that and got the same thing. Tried to have it mail me another password and got: Could not mail password for Fox3.
No idea what is going on here, but I had a really bad feeling about anything out of kuro5hin... BUT I respect SP enough to try :-) even if that does worry me :-).
Thanks for your efforts.

It appears that there will be a similar scenario to the 2004 Governors election. Unfortunately, I'd have to hedge my bet toward the leftist candidate - seems like he has the political machine behind him. Maybe the PRI (Obrador's party) has been in contact with King County Records & Elections (Deanron) to get advice on how the Americans managed to steal recent elections.
