Happy Father's Day

I celebrated this Father's Day by going on a hike with the little man to whom I am "Daddy".

1. Nice photo!
Happy Father's day, Stefan! Dads are so very important and your son is fortunate to have a good one!

2. This was a special day for two special people. Happy Father's Day, Stephan!

3. I'm sorry, Stefan, I spelled your name wrong.

4. Goodness, Stefan, it looks like you're restraining him. Is the parental affection so lacking that he finds you scary to touch? Is it that he's already figured out that your neofascist everybody-build-your-own-levee approach to the world means he's going to inherit twenty-eight-thousand and counting in his share of the national debt, while the environment is destroyed and the economic infrastructure is plundered?

Or is it simply that he doesn't like you?

The cheerly Socialist Left. Always the great protectors of tolerance and diversity.

Did you spend the day celebrating your father as well? Do you actually know who he is?

6. Happy Fathers Day Stefan!

Fred, go away. Far away.

7. Fred, at some point your mother probably told you "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." This is one time where you really should have heeded her advice. Now go sit in the corner and stay there til I say you can get up.

8. Hm, I seem to have touched a nerve. A little close to home, perhaps?

Here's hoping, then, that Father's Day brings about some real thought about what kind of world each of hopes to leave to our children. Best to you and yours, Stefan.

No Fred,

He saw you coming and wanted to kick your A$$. Stefan had to restrain him from beating up socialist idiots like you.

11. "touched a nerve. A little close to home, perhaps?"

No, Fred. Not at all in the way you think. It's that Stefan in good faith simply wished everyone a happy Father's Day and shared a nice photo of him and his son with us---and you somehow managed to not see that it was simply a nice greeting to the readers. Instead, you took the op to get all inappropriately rude and vomit all over a circumstance that absolutely did not merit it. You deserved to be called on it. No one felt the least bit intimidated by your political rantings. Not the least. But they WERE appalled at the way you managed to inject ill-timed rudeness into a situation that should have had none of that. We're very surprised that you don't see that.

13. Fred...POS. Kids are the best. Happy Father's Day to all who have little squids. I've got 3 and they are the best things I've ever done, or ever will...period.

14. It never fails. Liberals are pathologically unable to pass up a single opportunity show poor taste and boorishness. Fred's just following true to form.

Happy Father's day to all you fathers out there, conservative and liberal alike. Great photo, Stefan, and beautiful son.

16. The Moonbat left like Fred, can't even take a well wishing from the other side on Father's Day without going into BDS mode. Classic.

Happy Father's Day to you too Stefan. Took my two kids out to look at trains and play at the park. To children, love is spelled t-i-m-e.

Cheers.

21. While I disagree with Fred's decision to interject a personal attack on Stefan, I do agree with the of his point, or what it should be: Father's Day should not only be a day to celebrate parenthood, but to reflect on the current state of the world and how we want it to be for our children. For example, I am bothered by how little this conservative administration and legislature cares about the enviornment and the burgeoning deficit. We take the attitude that, "Well it won't come to a head during my lifetime!" What about our children? Why aren't these issues a bigger source of discussion on even blogs like this. How about a little more productive thinking and a little less partisian bashing. Our children might appreciate.

We do reflect upon the current state of the world and how we want it to be for our children. For example, I am bothered by how little the liberals of this country care about our struggle with islamofascism. We take teh attitutde that "They won;t attack us with a nuke in our lifetime!". What about our children? Why aren't these issues a bigger source of discussion and concern by liberals?

Which do you think is most likely to occur first, given the current state of the world in which Pakistan, Norh Korea and Iran will have nuclear weapons and we have seen a 911 attakc on our nation.

That we will all drown because the polar ice caps have melted or a terrorist or rogue state will destroy a city or two or three with a nuclear device?

Keep in mind that it was recently discovered that thousands of years ago the arctic used to be a tropical climate.

Now where should the priority be Kathleen?

When a mushroom clould is rising over Seattle, I think the heat alone would make the 1-2 degrees increase due to global warming seem rather insignificant. But what do you think kathleen?

25. Here is my proud father story from this last father’s day weekend. First understand that one of my college degrees is in Mathematics. I am having a discussion with my son, 6 years old, who is just finishing kindergarten. We are discussing which is bigger, huge or gigantic. We both agree it is gigantic. He then tells me that the biggest number is infinity, which is correct. I then ask him what about infinity plus 30, isn’t that bigger? He looks at me and says “Dad, if you were to sit down and think about if for a while, you would realize that infinity plus 30 is really the same as infinity.”

26. Cute story Steve. And with that, you've demonstrated that your 6yo has already surpassed the reasoning abilities of ferd and kathleen...

(For him I trust that the world will remain a huge and wonderous thing to be explored and enjoyed!)

Happy (after) Father's Day!

27. Everyone should enjoy their fathers while they can. Mine has Alzheimer's and will probably need full time care in less then 6 months. He barely knows me now. Enjoy your family while you can.

28. Happy belated Father's Day, Stefan!

Steve, your son is one smart kid; just keep the WEA/NEA away from him... :-)

29. Happy (belated) Fathers Day Stefan!

Your little guy is getting so big!

It was a great weather day for Dad's and kids. My hubby took the boys fishing and we had a BBQ!.

30. Stefan,

Belated happy Father's day.
Significant and heart warming evidence that there is hope for the future.

31. Happy Father's Day, Stefan. I almost never agree with your politics, but I do think that one of the most important things you can pass on to and set an example for your kids is the importance of giving a damn about things and getting involved...
