King County Executive Ron Sims is on KUOW's Weekday at this hour, 10 -11 am. Listen online or at 94.9FM.
Sims is talking about the departure of Dean Logan and ongoing changes. Sims says that he's going to be "very, very cautious" about all-mail voting and "slow the process down deliberately". But hasn't yet talked about timing of the ordinance in the Council.
UPDATE: Just said that we'll vote all-by-mail in 2007, which suggests he still supports putting the ordinance to the Council for a vote this Monday. Call in or e-mail the program and ask to put the whole ordinance on ice until he has a leadership team in place to implement it.

Posted by: Gerald (I'm kidding) on June 15, 2006 10:17 AMGood point. We need to save money by using the "All Sims" model of collecting votes. He has been stalwart in his thriftiness and saving the taxpayers money whever he can.
(I'm kidding too)
Posted by: Ken on June 15, 2006 11:07 AMJust kidding three.
Posted by: katomar on June 15, 2006 12:20 PMIf he thinks that we don't need an elected auditor, and only a ronny puppit, then let Ron do the Job. My Boss knows how to perform my duties in my absence, lets see how KC RON does!!!
And I am NOT KIDDING LOL
He decides who votes [dead, felons, imaginary friends] and who doesn't [overseas military, conservatives, etc..].
