Today in Speculation

Karl Rove will not be indicted in the "CIA leak case".

My breath is bated while I await Eli Sanders' reaction.

1. The spin is that Karl rolled over and the indictment will be for Dick Cheney.

Bad 7 days for the libs, Zarqawi dead, no Rove indictment, Bush visits Baghdad.

Praise the Lord and Pass the Prozac to the Libs.

2. What is funny is that got ol Chuck Schummer is so flabergasted over this that his is demanding that the special prosecutor give him a full report on why there was no inditment.

3. Don't forget the loss of CA-50 and the absolute raking that YearlyKos took in the press from some of the key pundits. Haditha looks to have been another baseless attack. Watada who? Gitmo detainees voluntarily making more room for new prisoners.

And most importantly, didn't HIllary Clinton just say that setting a date to get out of Iraq is not the right strategy? Weren't she and many other Dems calling for a "timeline" to leave Iraq just six months ago? She's got so many flip flopping John Kerry moments it's hard to select which one will define the demise of her campaign.

As I always say, all you have to do is give Progressives/ liberals/ statists/ Marxists/ Nutrooters more rope to expose their ideas. When forced to espouse what they really believe, they always hang themselves.

4. Speaking of the Clinton's, last night Bill was out talking about global warming and is gushing over Al Gore's new movie and talking about how Global Warming will be the key issue in the 08 election. Sounded to me like Bill was endorsing AL for 08....lol

5. With regard to one of the posters comments, it is a bad day for liberals today, but even liberals are glad to see Zarqawi dead. Zarqawi was a terrorist and murderer.

Some could argue that his death may not slow down the insurgency, but we are all happy he's dead.

6. PoliticalCritic,

That would be hard to know given the incredible lack of anything positive to come out of their mouths. The general theme from libs is the same that they give to any development - time to retreat! They couch it as time to draw down the troops.

The most amusing thing about that is that all these libs accuse Bush of not listening to the generals. Which general in the field told these libs that it was time to draw down troops? Or is it that libs are better than generals, or is it that libs are trying to politicize the war (not quite part of the 'support the troops' mantra, but what the...), or is it just the hate Bush contingent, or no actual policy?

7. Sorry, cricket, but there are at least 20% of the people that aren't happy he is dead. One, partisan reasons, but two, so what if he is dead, there will be another to take his place, so why bother? That is the attitude of giving up because the mission is so daunting.

I am not talking about the other half of liberals, but only those that represent 20% of the people.

In any election, you can count on 40% to vote R and 40% to vote D; the battle is for those other 20%. And by the same reasoning liberals can be broken down to 50% sane and 50% insane on any particular issue.

8. I read Mr Bill's recent comments at the Florida Demo Conference regarding what a great job he and Al (Internet) Gore did protecting our planet from global warming. He conveyed that the policies of the Bush administration will lead to more hurricanes in the future. Now who can doubt the word of this great weather observer. We can all recall the good ole days when he did his famous weather observations out of the oval office. "Thar she blows matey!"
