It's.......Camp Wellstone in Seattle, this Friday June 16 through June 18. Classes start Friday at 2:30 p.m.
June 16.....isn't that when President George W. Bush comes to town for U.S. Rep. Dave Reichert, at a morning fundraiser hosted in the Medina home of Microsoft executive and former drugstore.com CEO Peter Neupert?
Hmmm...wonder if there's any special local anti-Bush protest planned that day to discuss in class at Camp Wellstone? Pretty good bet, I'd say. It's legal of course, but the question for Dems is how far to push the message. A Camp Wellstone "simulation exercise" press event could be in the offing. Maybe they'll try to gauge media and public reaction to highway banners on the POTUS travel route labelling Bush a "war criminal," now that Lt. Ehren Watada has done the advance work.
Posted by Matt Rosenberg at June 10, 2006 10:45 AM | Email ThisOh man it is going to be so damn cool to get pictures of the most widely hated president since Nixon standing next to Dave Reichart. I mean Dave Reichart is allready tainted with dirty Tom DeLay money but this is going to be extra sweet.
I am sure that there is going to be massive protests against the UnPresident there always is.
Posted by: Jacob Metcalf on June 10, 2006 08:19 PMIf we could depart from partisanship for a few moments - Reichert could very easily do without Bush here - the most inarticulate president in modern history. Reichert is a statesman and a crusader for securing our borders, unlike GWB who has sold out to corporate interests - he should be ashamed of himself ! If nothing else, it would be fun to document to moonbat protesters, a number of which will be stupid on wacky tobaccy, thanks to Hempfest.
