Mail Ballot Horror Show (II)

Non-citizen somehow gets added to the voter rolls. Perhaps she wasn't sufficiently assertive when she signed up for a Washington driver's license and the DOL clerk tried to force her to register to vote. Non-citizen receives absentee ballot and mails it back, writing "PLEASE CANCEL NOT U.S. CITIZEN" in bold letters on the signature line.

Ballot envelope is left unopened on the reject pile. Nevertheless, helpful King County Elections staff keep sending non-citizen absentee ballots and even update her mailing address on her registration record.

1. Three cheers for Ms. Loveridge, an honest person.

Someone alert Diogenes!

2. For crying out loud---how long do we have to put up with this kind of behavior at KCE????

3. Perhaps somebody should go interview Ms. Loveridge, and tell her that her human rights are being violated, since she isn't allowing herself to vote!
But on the other hand, the instructions for voter registration changes are on the top right of the card--if that number is called, can you remove yourself from the database, and did Loveridge not call KC registration to have them remove her from the system?

4. Dean Logan smells a vote he might be able to count, and he's darn determined to try to get this voter to drop her integrity so he can count that ballot in 2006 or 2008. He'll probably count the ballot either way anyway. That's what he did in 2004.

Logan belongs in an orange jumpsuit.

5. Sorry Michelle,

At least 2-1/2 more years. A long time.
