Our Man in Havana

My endorsement last December of Cuba Dwight Pelz for chairman of the Washington State Democratic Party is paying off --

Balter: "Party chair's left jabs put Cantwell on the defensive"

1. Besides continually eating our entire pocket books, they also eat their own.

They will implode in this state!

2. 1 Given that Cantwell is essentially a moderate Democrat and McGavick is pro drilling in ANWAR, a good portion of McGavick's potential R base will probably vote for Cantwell
2 Ann Coulter said on CNN a few days ago that for the Democratic Party to be successful they need to pick up 50 seats in the House (this is the same amount in the Newt Grinich lead Republican Revolution in 1994)
3 With the way Bush is acting on
a Domestic spying
b Medicare Part D
c Christian Right
that is a very strong possibility
4 Luckily we have our "second weapons" of Dwight Pelz (state party chair) and Howard Dean (national party chair) who will "blow it with overheated rhetoric and all-or-nothing politics"
5 They're sort of the Liberal equivalent of the Crasswell Family Values

3. Stefan, maybe their common friend Fidel can help them resolve their differences?

But seriously--is Pelz really putting the smack down on Cantwell, or is it the other way around?

4. So, why do the Rs vote for Cantwell and not McGavick when McGavick is prodrilling in ANWAR, while Cantwell is against it and does not provide alternatives?

And Mark, don't forget Tony Snow. This guy is a silent assassin. As press secretary, he has been responsible for emails to the MSM denigrating articles that are not accurate. What I don't know is if he has enough time.

5. Here in Pugetopolis, the land of the simple-minded, this may not make any difference. Didn’t I just read a couple days ago in the News Buffoon in the story titled County executive hatches his grandest plan yet

http://www.thenewstribune.com/news/local/story/5725726p-5125850c.html

that scheme that the mother of all dodo birds has hatched was paid for out of transportation funds?

Yet I hear five out of six of the people with an opinion to broadcast regarding the price they are paying at the pump opine that they are being ‘screwed,’ ‘cheated,’ ‘ripped-off,’ etc. by the oil companies.’ Yet right here, laid out before their very eyes, is the PC Exec’s admission that money extracted from their wallet each and every time they fill up, Million$, has been diverted to funding a conceptual design study for an office complex.

OK geniuses, let me lay it out for you…this amount, somewhere north of two-million which is just what they admit to diverting, was paid for out of YOUR gas taxes that you paid ostensively to be used for road improvements and maintenance. One would be able to reasonably expect that had this money been used for what it was collected for that this would have resulted in efficiencies in travel throughout Pierce County thereby allowing you to benefit from more miles traveled per each gallon of gas you purchased, would it not? So, are the people screaming, crying and wailing about this reaming, not that I have heard.

6. JDH,

You win the Kewpie Doll. Jean Enerson does the thinking for a large percentage of western Washington. They'll think and vote as the MSM tells them.

Green Lake Mark,

Sounds like your politics align somehwere near the RINO wing of the Republican Party. That's why the Rep. Party loses elections in this state. Most of our candidates sound like limp-wristed Dems. Dino Rossi proved conservatives can win in WA St.

7. If only the democrats did eat their young... before they are old enough to fraudulently vote.

8. "Dino Rossi proved conservatives can win in WA St."

Hmmm. I thought Dino was a "moderate." But hey, Ole, how's the Rossi administration working out for you?

9. GREEN LAKE MARK...

Cantwell a moderate. On what?

Christian right. Would you mind explaining just what that really is? Typical Lib use of words. Means nothing but sounds so scary! To them....

10. i always thought that the dems aborted their young. eating them would upset peta.

11. Dwight 'Che' Pelz, like Ernesto 'Chancho' Guevara, wants to be on the winning side so he can cash in. Forbes (the magazine, not Kerry) reports that Fidel Castro is a proletarian plutocrat. Our Big Man in Hanvana has put aside a little communist capital for his old age, at least $900,000,000 that's transparent enough to count. That puts Castro way above Elizabeth II, royal pretender & parvenu, & in the same nationalized ballpark as F-Word Kerry himself.

Just another Billionair 4 Bush.

12. Iban - If you think she is doing a good job, then why is Gregoire's approval rating 34% in the latest non-partisan Strategic Vision
poll ? (I don't expect to believe it is non-partisan - but if you dare, check out the statistics and you'll see that it is). She is a lame duck and has been all along !
