Blog Backend Upgrade
I'm about to attempt an upgrade of the blog backend to Movable Type 3.2.
This isn't supposed to be noticeable to you the viewer, but there's a chance that comments will malfunction or pages start looking weird or something.
UPDATE: Okay, I finished the upgrade. Let me know if you encounter any weird bugs.

1. test. do comments still work?
2. test. Yes, I think comments work now. Good night!
3. After your last post, the link in your name isn't there like your first post.
4. ...or in my name for that matter
5. test again
6. Links in the name of the poster do not work for most posts. Not only on this comment page, but the others too.
7. It'll show links in the name of the poster only when the poster gives a URL
8. Okay, I am a programmer who runs Internet Explorer with script debugging turned on, so I doubt that anyone would experience what I experience each time I visit to SP where I get a message box with the following message:
A Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to Debug?
Line: 1
Error: Syntax error
Yes No
I am not sure what the issue is though.
9. As for showing links in the name only if there is a URL, I think showling link for names with just email should be done as well. There are a lot of posters with phony email addresses, and it helps other posters to identify as such.
Just a thought.
10. And some of the phone ones were hilarious- ala headless lucy and her many acronyms and addresses.
11. I never include a URL in my posts, just a real email address. Those of us that do now don't have a link to our email address. It at least one instance another poster contacted me at that email address.
Now that feature doesn't work like it did before the upgrade. Not an issue if that's a new "undocumented feature," otherwise a regression error.
12. You need to put the e-mail addresses back into being linked to the posts. If someone doesn't want their e-mail address known, they can put a fake e-mail address. Or they can put someone else's URL down as well.
13. If only the democrats did eat their young... before they are old enough to fraudulently vote.
14. Sorry wrong comments link.. they were too close together and I F...ed it up. You can remove both if you want.
15. Another thing I am observing after this update is that all of the links in Stefan's posts would launch a new browser in the past, but now, it simply navigates to the URL. When I examinied the source code, target="_blank" directive for after href is missing. Maybe this was an intentional change in the way Stefan does his posts.
16. I do hope you reconsider this "improvement" Stefan!
17. I agree with the other posters that you need to put the e-mail addresses back in. Besides it made a nice, easier to see break between comments. IMO, the new "improvement" is not an improvement.
I don't have a website, therefore what URL should I use?
18. One other thing Stefan... Look at this example: “Gorelick Wallâ€
I believe that the characters were parenthesis marks (or possibly code to italicise), but they are obviously being converted to something else....
19. I agree with Janet, please allow the email address to show. And it does make it easier to see the breaks between comments.
And, one more thing, thank you Stefan for all you do, including keeping this web site going.
