The Washington Coalition on Open Government (a top-flight group which defends the public records portion of the Public Disclosure Act) is holding a public forum in Tacoma this Wednesday on access to electronic records. You may recall that the Attorney General's Office published model rules on public records earlier this year, and that the proposed sections on electronic records were held back for further revision. Greg Overstreet from the Attorney General's Office will be participating in this forum. I assume they'll take some questions from the audience. This should be an opportunity to offer constructive input on strengthening the rules for disclosure of electronic records. Details follow --

I cannot think of the last time anyone at the Tacoma Daily Fish Wrapper did any real investigative reporting. I have sent them many stories, about past council members at The New Horizon Swingers Club in Lynnwood, Brame at an Arizona “Nudist Camp,” Ray Corpus in the Hot Tube with a D.A on city time, LESA employees swapping pornographic pictures on their city computers. I even sent them pictures of a now past City Council Member picking up and ˝ hour later dropping off a Hooker...All I ever got was “WERE NOT INTERESTED...NO STORY THERE.”
