3. On april 2nd Jim Miller posted a blog which seems humorous in retrospect. He tells us why he didn't contribute to the KUOW fundraiser: "For the same reasons I won't buy from organizations where I can't work (with a few legitimate exceptions), I won't contribute to organizations where I can't work. And it is simply a fact that KUOW does not have anyone on the air that shares my political views."

Who knew that Jim and Stefan had such drastically different views?

Jim went on to say that "In fact, I would go farther and say that their on-air employees come entirely from the left side of the poltical spectrum."

What!? Stefan's a lefty?

4. doug, think a minute. Ooops, a stretch there, but try anyway.

First, Jim Miller says he can't participate, so he won't reciprocate with funding.

All of a sudden and out of the blue, Stefan is on a program.

So, he is where it gets tough. What do you think happened between the Jim Miller post and the Stefan invite? Gotcha!! You're right!! Between e-mails and phone calls, KUOW got the message.

6. Going good. Thank goodness that despicable human being also wasn't put on the show at the same time. Stefan is out there on his own with counterpoint and Stefan is doing a great job.

7. Presumably "doug" is hoping that you will not scroll down to see what I actually said:

"I didn't contribute. For the same reasons I won't buy from organizations where I can't work (with a few legitimate exceptions), I won't contribute to organizations where I can't work."

KUOW has not offered me employment, and I do not expect them to offer any conservative, moderate, or libertarian employment -- at least not for an on-air job. (Though I would be delighted to be proved wrong on this point.) Nor do I expect them to give any critic time to reply to "Alternative Radio". (And I would be even more delighted to be proved wrong on that, too.)

Obviously, KUOW sometimes interviews people who vote for Republicans, as they did this morning. And, I said that, too, when I said that their more mainstream programs are "heavily weighted" toward the Democratic party. That implies, at least to the careful reader, that Reputblicans are heard, just not as often as Democrats.

(Oh, and I'll be doing a follow-up on that post, perhaps as early as this affternoon.)

8. I'm still listening, or more accurately, it is still streaming.

Definitely left-leaning, but at least they aren't screaming like you get with AAR.
