1 Looks like KC Republicans need to update the website. (Last article is dated Friday, October 7, 2005 or 5+ months ago)
2 Mr Sims has exceeds Dan Quayle in the number of misspeaks he has made in his six plus years as King County Executive (He took over from Gary Locke in Jan-2007)
3 There's nothing wrong w/ Mr Sims wanting a big office and a breathtaking view, he just got too greedy.
4 Kudos to Mr Phillips and the rest of the King County Council for putting the kabosh to the move

3. I think I read that that move alone (back to the courthouse) would still cost the taxpayers millions, but I would choose a cell in the courthouse for him at a fraction of that cost.

5. Well if you are going to talk about Ron this really isn’t too far off topic:

“Speaking of stupidity”
I saw a bumper sticker on a tan Toyota in the Juanita area 132nd (Kirkland) in front of me that read:

When women vote democrats win

Not with this woman! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA What a dumb a**!

6. Not so fast...the Seattle Silly Council merely voted to extend his stay (wherever his crib is currently) in lieu of allowing him to move on up to the penthouse. I'll believe that he's moving back to the courthouse when I see the thousand dollar Henry Miller chairs roll up to the curb. Until then, there's the outside chance that Sims just elected to fight another day.

8. dcat: That bumper sticker is a little off, I think. It should read, 'when single women vote, democrats win.'

Married women skew republican.

9. "Ron Sims agreed to stop crying because Mommy wouldn't buy him a new toy."

10. How about when welfare women vote democrats win!

Saw another dumb ass bumper sticker on the way to Kirkland’s Costco! It was a yellow question mark with question war! I was about to question the drivers ability to drive! Probably a bed wetter too!

11. "I think I read that that move alone (back to the courthouse) would still cost the taxpayers millions,"

The taxpayers deserve to see an itemized bill for this! And - at least 3 bids for the move...

12. Whoa! How millions to move an office? Rent a U-Haul already, pack it up, and get moved. I have participated in several office moves in just that manner, and as a member of management team, packed up boxes, carried furniture, the works. So why is it that Sims and personnel can't do the same?

13. No they can't fit all that custome furniture in his chauffered limousine, so they will have to hire Union Workers to haul it all I am sure.

17. "I think a work from home solution would be perfect for him!"

Hey! Think of all the "good home training" he could apply to his job!

18. If Ron Sims wants a new office, I think we should get him one, preferably in the private sector.

19. He should have to drink the recycled sewer water from wastewater treatment plants he proposes to force upon local residents to use to do his feel good part to combat global warming. As if !
