Puppygate Update

Here is the news release and email that Deanron's Animal Services unit is sending out to make excuses for the botched investigation of the exceptionally cruel death of Mooie the puppy.

Implicit in these documents (written by Deanron's familiar Communications Specialist "Baghdad" Bobbie Egan), is the admission that investigators did not perform an autopsy in order to determine the type of acid that killed Mooie before cremating the corpse, thus destroying key evidence.

2. Well, LovinUSA; I'll say that I beleive that the way that pets are treated is a peer into the overall civility of society...

I just wonder where the PETA gang is ??? If they were out front on this, I'd actually be supporting them in this cause.

I had not heard of this case before I saw it here today and am truly saddened. Poor pup, he deserved a lot better all around...

4. 1 The response by Dean Logan's King County Animal Services is pretty typical for the Logan team
2 A similar incident happened to Michael Jordan's father who was mugged and killed when he stopped at a highway rest stop to take a nap when he was travelling between Chicago and Florida(?)
3 After Pasado was beaten to death in Bellevue several years by a group of teenagers, you would think that Ron Sims and Gary Locke would get a clue
4 Given the uproar in the community this may be the issue that gets Dean Logan promoted into another department or rehired by Nordstroms' to sell shoes.
5 Given the problems w/ DSHS, was a reference and background check done on Dean Logan when he was hired by King County from Nordstrom's
6 And no, I do not have an explanation for why when an animal is savagily killed the public is in an uproar, but very little is said when it happens to a child that DSHS oversees.

Thanks for the link to the earlier story. Horrible stuff. Add the incompetence of the local officials and I just shake my head..
