Dean Logan, Dogcatcher

Animal rescue activists are accusing Federal Way Police and King County Animal Services of bungling the case of Mooie, the 4-month-old puppy killed by acid. Today's Seattle Times reports: "Agencies deny they bungled investigation of dog's death".

Pasado's Safe Haven, a non-profit animal rescue organization, has a web page with (unpleasantly graphic) photos and more details about Mooie's death and the bungled investigation. Pasado's recommends:

please file a complaint, using polite language, against King County Animal Services by contacting Walt Washington, Manager of King County Animal Services and Programs at walt.washington@metrokc.gov.

Then write to their boss Ron Simms [sic], King County Executive, at exec.sims@metrokc.gov and the King County Council at http://www.metrokc.gov/comments/council_comment.cfm asking that they insist the King County Animal Services vigorously investigate animal cruelty cases and take the appropriate and necessary measures to secure evidence related to animal cruelty cases.

But this leaves out a very important person in the chain of command. Animal Services is a section of Record, Elections and Licensing Services (REALS). Walt Washington is a direct report of Dean Logan.

1. This is good Stefan---you were able to follow the complex King Kounty organizational chart and show where the buck really stops.
Was Logan also somewhat responsible for the death of Gregoire's pooch, Franz????

Logan is probably afraid of dogs.

2. Even shoe salesman was pushing it for Logan. Maybe once he gets fired he can get a job that's more in his range. Maybe a Greeter at Wal-Mart? No, but those people are friendly and open. Maybe a Bagger at a Safeway? Yeah, and that's a union job, should fit well with Logan's progressive beliefs.

3. I am amazed! The way this entire region puts the lives of animals above that of humans, I would expect a much stronger response from all the authorities involved! After all, what's a little sexual abuse by a teacher, etc., compared to the life of a pit bull?

4. Walmart doesn't hire greeters with porno mustaches.

Safeway does hire the mentality and physically challenged for their bagger position. An excellent place for Logan.

6. Now that Mooie is deceased, will Logan make a duplicate pet registration for her so that she can vote twice?

7. Yeah, grocer bagger sounds right for "Governor Dean" Logan and his left wing loony politics. I can just imagine having to pass by him w/ his MP3 player extremely loud to hear the Dean Scream!!

On a more serious note: Breaking up Deanron can only be a good thing.

8. Should King County have an elected dog catcher? Are the elected auditors in other counties responsible for catching dogs?

9. The suggested occupations for DL are too worthy. He should spend time out in the county cleaning septic tanks. Of course, he would need training for this job. Libs are good at slinging poo, but I doubt that they would be any good at cleaning it up!

10. hey that's my side business! on behalf all septic and porta potty pumpers; that's an insult.

...besides we have to make the gallons pumped reconcile with the gallons dumped. I guess if I wanted to dump in Puget Sound, he could do my books.
